Franklin needs to get to 8000 xp for next level

Wiglaff is very pleased to have found the spellbooks! He's in favour of spending 700gp for magic-item identification and eagerly awaits the results.

He also spends 100gp of his own money to have the bluish torch he's been carrying identified.

"Alas for Wodan!" he laments. "He was with me from the beginning."

If he can, Wiglaff tracks down Wodan's family or heirs and gives them 200gp, plus Wodan's plate armour and silvered spear. He will not replace Wodan at this time, but will stick with just Ivar & Sigmund.

The party looks in pretty good shape hit points-wise, so Wiglaff suggests they spend only one night on the surface to regain their spells, and then get back into the dungeon.

He'll attempt to buy the following scrolls from the wizard:

Sleep x2
Color Spray x2
Sixth Sense x1

(total cost 1200gp if all are available)

He'll memorize:

1st: detect magic x2, sleep
2nd: invisibility

currently, Rhod is wearing plate mail +1, but he has no magic shield. Nobody else has any magic armor or shield

I know Maloof took a set of magical plate mail recently, not sure if it was this delve (my memory sucks), I'll look into it and edit this post in a bit.

Rhod already took that guy's shield as well.

Maloof already got the Efreet too.
Maloof is interested in the other magic shield, but will defer to anyone else who wants it instead (and, if no one else wants the shield, will swap shields with Rhod if his is currently +1 and he wants the +3).
The amulet of Set he says he wants destroyed!

Maloof will memorise: CLW, CLW; Find Traps, Hold Person

If anyone wants Maloof's "Potion of Invisibility", just ask and you can have it. It's not really Maloof's style (unless he were to use it to escape a TPK!)

Rhod would be happy with either shield.

I completely overlooked that Rhod is wearing plate mail +2 and a shield +2

so that leaves

we can give the +3 shield to Rhod, who will be platemail +2 and shield +3, for AC -3
Then he will be the perfect front line fighter

Since Grampus does not use a shield, it makes sense to give the other plate mail +1, making him AC 2

You now have two shields to go between Aldbane, Maloof and Franklin

@makofan, please refresh my memory: Did the friendly wizard have any more potions for sale? Or any other items usable by a fighter?

@kipper, Franklin would love to be invisible. It's totally on-brand for a hobbit! He would be willing to trade potions with Maloof: either heroism or giant strength, take your pick.

Franklin is the only fighter currently without a protective item, so I think there is a strong case for him to take one of the magic shields.
