At first, Franklin cannot make out anything, but Sconces is barking in the direction to the north, and he dimly makes out a cloaked man about 60 feet to the north, who seems to blend into the walls

Wiglaff rushes to his spearman Wodan & shakes him awake.

"Wake the others & attack the caster!" he orders. Then he begins to lop off the heads of the sleeping berserkers, leaving others free to fight the caster.

As he's lopping, he shouts: "Efreet, sir, we need your strength!"

Franklin alerts his friends to the caster's location and fires a sling stone in that direction.

Franklin is responding to this threat - how about anyone else?

Was Rhod able to use the Detect Magic ability of his sword, or not?

Because reading back over it, it looks like "Oh, you were about to do this, but he cast a spell, so you lose a turn!" (If you see what I mean.)

I still want to cast Detect Magic. And if he's casting at the same time, it should lead me right to him.

In which case, I'll rush over there and chop him to chutney.

Rhod would have gone into the priest room, and used his sword's Detect Magic. The priest's shield glows strongly, as does the amulet around his neck.

I think since the enemy caster is in the large room, out of his line of sight, Rhod is not aware of him yet. Thank you, @coffee, for chiming in

If I don't hear from Aldbane, Grampus or Maloof, I'll just have Franklin duel the enemy caster the next few rounds

In case you missed it, see my post above; Wiglaff is focusing on eliminating the berserkers himself, but has ordered his men to attack the caster.

Gosh I'm an idiot. Maloof and Aldbane are unconscious. I don't know why I had such problems this week. OK, will update this tomorrow probably
