Maloof will memorise: Cure Light Wounds, Detect Evil; Detect Traps

He will purchase 2 more vials of Holy Water (50gp), so he will be carrying 6 vials.

Good stuff!

I will also need updated spell memorizations for Aldbane and Wiglaff

I don't think anybody will begrudge Franklin having a survival instinct. Sconces seems to be a good early warning detector

Franklin will also inquire in town whether there is an animal trainer qualified to train giant weasels. It's a long shot, but worth a try!

Sadly, he finds none. This area is simply the dungeons beneath a mad wizard's tower

Since there are a good many Fighters in the group, Wiglaff will continue to have Phillippe carry his armour, so that he can cast spells if necessary.

He memorizes light and colour spray. He also has scrolls of sleep, fog wall, and ventriloquism.

He purchases:

plate armour for his footmen, Wodan, Ivar, and Sigmund (100*3 = 300gp)
5 vials of holy water, which Wiglaff has his porter Edgar carry (25*5 = 125gp)

This should bring his total to 3,963gp, but I must have put some undeclared purchase on my inventory spreadsheet, so I'm recording my gp total as 3942.

Of this he'll take only 250gp into the dungeon.

Wiglaff is heartily in favour of Franklin armouring up. He still has his cloak of elvenkind & can scout if necessary.

Wiglaff will put XP gained on the next delve toward magic-user.

Finally, Wiglaff suggests that Grampus or Franklin bear the axe of beheading, as they are more likely to make use of it, while Wiglaff will be hanging back & conserving his spells or using missile fire.

Franklin purchases plate armor, helmet, and shield (125gp) improving his AC to 2.

Franklin does not feel worthy to wield the magic axe (and he's probably too short to reach the neck of a man-sized creature). If Grampus wants the axe then I humbly propose that Franklin takes over Grampus' +1 sword. I believe I was actually playing Grampus when he found that sword. ;)

SUGGESTED MARCHING ORDER

[Rhod F4][Grampus F4]
[Aldbane C4][Wodan F1]
[Edgar lantern][Maloof C4]
[Franklin F3] [Wiglaff E3/2]
[Aiden torch] [Nori F2]
[Ivar F1] [Sigmund F1]
[Phillippe porter]
[Ori F2] [Dori F2]

How's this look?

Also: where shall we delve to?

There's a room of magical darkness on level 1. I'm keen to try casting a light spell into it to see if that has any effect.

Other than that, I think we should push into lower levels. We're a formidable group!

We'll have to let Grampus decide if he wants the Battle Axe or the Sword. I will nudge him this weekend

Also, Wiglaf has a scroll of Fog Wall

Aldbane spells: Cure light wounds, light, hold person

The plan to cast light in the darkness room is a good one, then maybe onward to the 3rd level?

Sounds great! We have several choices for getting to level 3 at this point. But shall we take the elevator?
