Willie is still in a meditative mood. He can't stop thinking about the dangers they faced in the deeps, and the loss of their comrade Chegs!

He talks over the adventure with his friends, and states his preference:

"I think we should push past where we fought those poor hobbets with ghoulism. See what we can find."
We've discovered the self-serve General Store on Level 1 (items 5gp and under). Can we purchase more expensive equipment while on the surface?

Pancake chef extraordinaire Frederick the VIII asks, "Do you young Hobbets need any more equipment for your next Adventure? I keep a small stock of the necessities in my storeroom."

Kiplyn would be trying to get his fill of Pancakes and wrestling with his thought. Sure he was suppose to be across the valley and over the hill for the planting season, but that's hard work and hungry work. No point rushing into it. "More Pancakes please, when you have a moment my Esteemed chef!"

As our Heroes are settling in for the night, they are startled as the door crashes open, letting in a blast of cold air. Two more Hobbets have arrived! They got lost in the woods and nearly had to spend the night shivering under the stars. But the inviting smell of pancakes led them through the darkness to safety.

Dame Simonetta Clytie LaJolle and Kiplyn Sorefoot, your story begins now!

The appearance of new blood is enough to break Willie out of his pensive mood!

"Look! Tet, Dougal, Noh'won -- newcomers... Do you think they would like to join our adventure club??"

He whispers this excitedly, and probably not quietly enough, while staring eagerly at the Hobbets at the door.

"This would make me the least new of the newcomers, so that is fine with me," Noh says with a nod at the others, as he scratches the feathers under Carc's beak.

You see a rather thin middle-aged Hobbet with a shock of brilliant red hair. Dame Simonetta looks around and wrinkles her nose. Sighing with resignation, she looks for an open seat. She pulls out what might once have been a fine lace handkerchief and fastidiously wipes the chair before sitting down.

"What's an adventuring club?" Kiplyn would ask between mouthfuls of pancakes.

Tet's eyes boggle in the direction of the new arrivals but he can't say a word, preoccupied as he is with stuffing his face with pancakes. His belt is already creaking with the strain of his girth, but he shows no sign of slowing.

More oomph pancakes oomp omph, he barely manages to mumble as the stuffing session continues...

Willie jumps up, indignant, when he hears Kiplyn's question.

"Who said anything about ADVENTURE CLUB? We were definitely not talking about ADVENTURE CLUB."

He considers for a moment.

"But if you know the password we'll probably let you in. To the CLUB. That we weren't talking about."
