...You can interact with some NPC's and then the other PCs should be along shortly (if they survive).

Welcome aboard @scottenkainen! Here are your stat rolls. I rolled 6 potential characters for you, using the 3d6 in order technique. Choose your favorite 'set' of stats, and use it to build your character, using the house-rules in the first post of this thread.

S:10 I:7 W:8 Co:5 D:16 Ch:15 Gold:90
S:5 I:9 W:10 Co:14 D:7 Ch:8 Gold:100
S:11 I:10 W:15 Co:7 D:10 Ch:14 Gold:150
S:9 I:7 W:9 Co:5 D:9 Ch:17 Gold:80
S:15 I:7 W:8 Co:8 D:9 Ch:9 Gold:100
S:10 I:10 W:11 Co:6 D:12 Ch:11 Gold:80

Any questions?

As an experiment, I tweaked my Druid spell progression table, so they max out at 4/4/2 instead of 4/2/2.

Does anybody think giving 6th level Druids two extra 2nd level spells is game-breaking?

It puts a little more cure light wounds out there into the universe.

I think this is a great idea, especially in a world devoid of any other magic-using classes.

Hi Scott,

I love Beppo! A fighting-apprentice would be a perfect addition to the party.

Unfortunately his low CON gives -1hp per HD, but the way we do hit points for multiclass, he gets to roll for each class and keep the better of the two results. So, that's something.

Thief hit dice 1d6-1 = 2hp
Fighting-Hobbet hit dice 1d6+2-1 = 6hp

Beppo has 6hp, not bad for a character with 5 Con!

Most generous. I would have been fine with 3...

I have not had time to pick out starting equipment, but will do so today!

Let me know when you are ready for me to review that equipment list.

Beppo's family heirloom is a pouch of 7 silver sling stones and the folkloric knowledge of their effectiveness vs. werewolves and other enchanted creatures that are immune to normal weapons.

Beppo's adventures will begin on the road to Hornpipe. Stay tuned for your cue to enter the game. You might ask: Why is Beppo going to Hornpipe? ADVENTURE!

In the last few weeks, rumors are buzzing within the Apprentice community, about a secret hobbet-only Adventure Club operating out of the human village of Hornpipe. There's no denying that the local economy is flooded with silver and gold coins of untraceable origin, but details are hard to come by. For some reason, hobbets get very quiet whenever Beppo mentions the phrase Adventure Club. All of his questions get shut down.

Then one day, he has an interesting encounter at his local pub: he overhears a toothless hobbet mention the word Hornpipe. Beppo buys the stranger a drink. He introduces himself as Douglas and confirms that, indeed, he has just returned home from Hornpipe, to get his teeth fixed. His speech is difficult to understand, his mouth is so bruised and battered. He won't answer any questions what happened to his face; Beppo can only imagine. After Douglas gets a little tipsy, he whispers, "Can I tell you a seecwet? HWhen you gep da Hornbibe, ask for 'Johnnycakessssshpppsss.'"

Just then, a wild-eyed woman with no eyebrows rushes in from the cold and glares wordlessly at Douglas. He rises from the table. He says (toothless lisping omitted for readability): "Fiona is here! It was nice to meet you. I've got to run; it's my turn at the dentist. Remember: Johnnycakes. Bye!"

Beppo is left wonder, what's up with 'johnnycakes'? As far as he knows, it refers to a regional food, a cornmeal griddle cake. Or could it be the name of a person? Perhaps some criminal mastermind of the Adventure Club organization, Don Johnnycakes?

Stay tuned for the Adventures of Beppo, next time on Hobbet Heroes!

I hope you spotted my character record in the appropriate folder by now, with all the equipment listed. I'll add the silver sling stones to it (good thing I have a sling!).
