The magic-user can attempt only one possession in each of his player's turns.
Failure to possess entitles the subject to complete the remainder of his own turn, possibly moving out of the magic-user's range. Otherwise there is no real penalty for failing to possess, other than the missed opportunity to gain control of the target's corporeal body.
