'Aye, I agree" puffs Taines, the past days punishment now bearing upon him. "I need a chance to sleep off this pain" he says gripping his stomach, "and maybe some food"

You quickly surmise that camping out in the keep tower is likely to be the safest way to pass the night, given that there are just a few hours of light left in the day.

The more immediate question is what to do with the bodies of Roddrick, Crystin and the plentiful Hobgoblins?

Dieter sheathes his sword and gets out his shovel.

"There's still enough light for grave digging," he says, looking around near the keep wall for a suitable spot. "Somebody make the bodies ready, okay?"

He glances at the hobgoblin corpses.

"Those you can pile in a ditch, for all I care."

(What's the ground like in the vicinity of the keep? I'm guessing the courtyard is to hard to dig in, but outside the wall there should be some good place for graves.)

The courtyard was, at one time, cobbled. Now the flagstones are split and uneven, with copious tufts of hardy grasses growing up between them. The courtyard is also littered with heavy rubble from the crumbling keep walls, and digging anywhere within the walls would be a stern challenge.

But not far outside the keep on the side of the bluff the earth is merely hard but not impossible to dig -- especially for a Man of Dieter's great strength. He finds a suitable locale some dozen yards from the walls and gets to work, and before the gloom of evening has really begun to set in he has two rocky graves dug.

By this time a very light rain is beginning -- and by the gathering mass of blotchy clouds it looks as though there will be more rain overnight...

Are you intending to bury them in their armour? Or do you strip them down to their tunics?

Those of you who have ever tried to sleep in armour suspect they will rest more easily without it...
