He curses the shouting and clanging of his fellows, but before he can say anything the heavy door just visible at the end of the right passageway shudders. Then, to his great dismay, it is shoved open with a clatter. Both Rodrick's and Olaf's skin shivers as a stench of ancient decay most foul reaches them even from a dozen yards.
Beyond the door the darkness is absolute, but -- if thier eyes are not deceived -- both Men spy a number of grotesque figures who begin to stumble and shuffle toward them as broken puppets might in some awful parody of life...
Neither group is surprised. Gentlemen, your intentions please?
Olaf shouts, "Look out!" then "Caine, Deiter, behind us."
He then says to Rodrick, "Move to the intersection so we can both attack these monsters!"
OOC: If I understand it correctly this is our situation

R = Rodrick, O = Olaf, C = Caine, D = Deiter, X = Monsters
and the rest are down this way
Is that about right?

The corridor is very narrow, but if Rodrick steps into the side passage, Olaf can step forward to get at the grotesque creatures. He holds his shield in front of him for protection while thrusting with his sword.
"Back, vile monsters!" Olaf shouts as he stabs and thrusts the sharp steel of his blade.
ps. Very nice map!!!!

Rodrick instead allows
Olaf to pass and sheds light upon him and his foes believing
Olaf might have a better chance to hit if he can see.

OOC: For clarification, are there 4 exits from the fountain room? Or just the 2 we've used?

Dieter follows Olaf. There are more of them there, from what I can tell, so that makes the most tactical sense to me.
