Thanks for your patience all, just waiting on a "modestly important" private message from one of our players

FYI -- I am attempting to keep the two groups (more or less) synchronised, round by round. Thus things might have appeared to have slowed up a little. I suspect we'll be back to normal time keeping soon enough...

Not really; just glad I didn't turn up in the 'Fallen Heroes' thread!

Trying to figure out the best IC way to give up on them and go home to regroup...
...and find two new roommates. (Hey, we got a rent bill to worry about!)
For some reason, I keep going back to the scene in The Holy Grail where they spot Camelot, then it cuts to the singing and frolicking and then back to King Arthur and they walk away saying, "Ah, it's a silly place..."
But that somehow doesn't quite seem appropriate here.
Hence, the silence from the two halfling heads.

Still chilled to the bone.
Not so surprising given that Pelenwin was down to 1 HP as it was, but still a brutal shock.
Not sure how to explain this to the Deacon.

Moral of the story is, it's hard to be patient in a play-by-post where simple actions take days and exploring a dungeon takes weeks.
Half the party said "let's go slowly, keep our escape route open, and not touch/open anything until it's checked for traps."
The other half said "ooh, shiny!!"
Let's be more patient, stick together, and deploy the "big guns" (Josiane, Ulric, the fighting-men) like chess pieces.

Same here!
Really sad to lose Pel and Wibert, though. Olaf will be sad and mad when he finds out IC.
