What a great idea! I think Aldbane would be aware of the ruse, since he can't yet cast remove curse either. So he'll be ready with his own hold person should whatever Maloof is planning fail.

In the meantime, Aldbane will whisper to his colleagues that Maloof is planing something and to be ready.

Franklin is oblivious to the ruse, so he's just hanging back and looking inconspicuous, trying not to make himself a target...
