Faeraidel is maneuvering to try and get a clear shot at the orcs - preferably at the Chieftan, but she'll take whatever she can get.
If shooting would risk hitting her comrades she holds her fire.

Round 2:
The melee becomes a blur of swinging weapons and shouting voices. Faeraidel sees no opening for her arrow but waits ready for a target.
Rhegaer hacks away at the nearest orc.
mgt's roll comes to 5 [5 on 1d20] -MISS
Urist throws himself upon the a bodyguard in hopes of breaking through to the chief.
mgt's roll comes to 15 [15 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 4 [3 on 1d6+1] - A solid blow but the Orcish Body is not killed.
Phadian cast Protection from Evil, Alrik looks on with thoughtful worry.

3 Bodyguards (Rhegaer, Urist, Rhegaer)

Phadian yells with anger and attacks one of the bodyguards on Rhegaer with his staff.
NOTE - pro evil gives "attacks made against the cleric by any other chaotic types will be at –2 to hit and the cleric will make saving throws at +2."

Realizing now that sleep might affect one or more of the party in close melee, due to his position, Alrik will attmpt to get behind the Chieftan by sticking close to the wall, and will cast sleep from his scroll once he does so.
| I should have read the spell description sooner, sleep in DD affects 4-14 normal types, starting with those closest to the spell caster. Seems dangerous to use that here, no guarantee it will sleep everyone involved. Moving behind the melee it will affect the bad guys first. At least it sounds like a good plan :) |

Urist ducks under the leader's attack. "Missed me, too slow!" He pops back up again and tries to counter attack with his hammer. At the back of his mind is the idea he can draw attacks away from the wounded Rhegaer with his obnoxious taunting: "You swing like a kobold! Are you trying to bore me to death??"

Round 3:
Phadian wades into to join Urist and Rhegaer in the thick of battle. The cleric has a discernible aura surrounding him as he tries to aid Rhegaer.
Urist ducks past on of the Orcs and throws himself upon the Chief.
mgt's roll comes to 15 [15 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 7 [6 on 1d6 + 1] - The dwarf's lands a massive blow that staggers the Chief back several paces.
Rhegaer bravely fights on
mgt's roll comes to 18 [18 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 6 [5 on 1d6 +1] - KILLED - The orc before Rhegaer was beheaded cleanly.
Phadian attacks the bodyguard
mgt's roll comes to 13 [13 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 6 [6 on 1d6] - The solid blow drives the bodyguard away from Rhegaer
Faeraidel sees a brief second where the Chief is exposed after driven back by Urist.... (Giving the Elf a d6 ala thief skill check, if she fails she shoots Urist)
mgt's roll comes to 3 [3 on 1d6] - Her timing is perfect the arrow speeds at the Chief
mgt's roll comes to 14 [13 on 1d20+1] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 6 [6 on 1d6] - KILLED
Orc vs Urist

Bodyguard vs Urist
mgt's roll comes to 10 [10 on 1d20] - Miss
Bodyguard vs Rhegaer
