Olaf leaps across to Pelenwin standing over him and giving him a light kick and shouting , "Wake up! Wake up!", all the while ready with sword and shield to defend him from attacks from the Wargs and riders!

Whoops!

In that case, Dieter will fight the wargs that are here.

If possible, he'd like to get back to back (to back) with the other two; if we form a triangle, they can't get around behind any of us. That really cramps their style!

Both Gustave and Olaf suffers foul bites for (2dd=1,4 and 2,3) for 4 and 3 hit points respectively. Gustave is reduced to 1 hit point, and Olaf just 3.

But the company have strength yet, and roar as they do give battle (1d20; Dieter=15, Olaf=13, Victor=16, Koch=11, Gustave=18)! By mighty thew or great chance four Men hew Warg flesh with their steel arms and deliver (Victor 1dd=4, Dieter 2dd=2,2, Olaf=3,6, Gustave=3,6) stinging wounds for 4, 6, 8 and 7 hit points respectively.

Olaf and Dieter slay two Wargs, Victor and Gustave wound two more.

Two wounded and two fresh Wargs remain in the immediate fray, while the group across the stream cover only half the gap cautiously... perhaps they delay to see which party has the upper hand before they commit?
