That's why you only have to describe it rather than actually doing it

Excellent.
Highbough is rather strong despite his wiry size, and is able to haul a couple of loose stones from the brittle battlement, over to each of the two towers whose stairs descend to the dungeon level.
Then he balances two rocks in a pile atop each trap-door so that if anyone were to open either side of the hatch, the stones would topple over, and hopefully fall into the stair and onto whoever opened the trapdoor.
He has the broken tin bucket with him... it contains a dozen of so iron nails.
It occurs to
Highbough he can bend the nails to construct makeshift caltrops like so:

Wibert thinks out loud, "Mmmm it was nice and there is more food down the cellar, we should get more before we leave."
"
Once the others come back can you lot help me get more fresh food from the cellar if you want to eat. Else we will be stuck with rations again...", sighs
Wibert.
Wibert not trusting the cellar is truly safe, will keep an eye on the trap door to the cellar and stop every 15 minutes or so to listen to see if he can heard anything below moving.
OOC: Does Wibert think he has enough veggies from the cellar to cook dinner and breakfast? I believe everyones has food for 1 day, expect Wibert who brought all his food rations.

Last time
Wibert was in the cellar he noticed that most of the food down there was rotten. He has already cooked almost everything that was even half-way edible.

Desmond, not able to do much by way of heavy lifting or menial labor, tries to help out as best he can. In this case, that is probably by trying to maintain a lookout, probably at the doorway to the courtyard from the building where the kitchen is. He'll let Wibert know where he is (just in the next room) in case Wibert has need of him.

"Why don't we just nail the trapdoors shut?" Ulric asks Highbough. "Or at least all but one of them. Perhaps we could leave one of the trapdoors unbarred but with your warning devise set up? That way if there is a sound we know exactly where it came from. If you put the tin bucket on top it might make a nice clattering sound if the door were opened."
Ulric will take four nails for the trapdoor in the other tower that leads to the dungeon and a large stone (if he cannot find a hammer) and work on nailing the trapdoor shut from the outside.
OOC: I'm a little unclear as to which tower Highbough was working on. If we trap or bar these two trapdoors we still have a third in another tower that does not lead to the dungeon that we can use to access the walls. I say we just seal them both off completely with Trammels and nails and be done with it.

"We shouldn't seal the trapdoor to the cellar. If they're down there, that trapdoor would be the only way they could likely get to us. If they aren't down there, the cellar can be an emergency escape for us. Nidhogg and I climbed out of the gatehouse from the cavern connected to the cellar."
"I wonder if that is where Nidhogg went again... Would someone like to come look with me?"

Following this proffered pearly of wisdom, he is soon again snoring quietly.
