I thought the party went down the left passage, so the right hand passage has the blockage. Or is it the other way around? Or has the passage the party went down now become blocked (there was that thump, after all)?
Perhaps I got it wrong initially, but I have it that the advanced company took the passage to the right from the ante-chamber.

I.e., facing into the tomb on the entry stair, the First Vault is to the right of the ante-chamber. The semi-blocked passage is to the left of the ante-chamber.

My apologies if this has been unclear.

Great - thanks for the clarification. It could easily be merely my poor, addled brain.

What is that there? Just now ahead, at the limit of the torchlight... could that be a glint or glimmer there? Are those are coins upon the ground, there? That couldn't be the glamour of gemstones... could it?
Did I say 'let's go right'? I meant left. Left, with all haste!

Does it really matter which way we go?

And I don't mean that to be facetious. Does someone who has been here before know specifically which way we should go?

(Note: I don't read threads that don't involve Dieter. If there's something in that thread I should know, I'd like someone to tell me. Thanks.)

Some of this is developing now, so Dieter wouldn't know.

Dieter may have previously heard Josiane going on about the vampeer and undead under the burning warehouse.

Josiane has just figured out that the partially blocked passage heads in that direction; it may be surmised that this is the source of the grave robbers who are despoiling graves. Also, Gustave believes he's seen gold and gems. Dieter doesn't know any of this.

I thought the original plan was just to see what was immediately to the left and right so as not to get cut off from the entryway. The foreward party was pressing on, but wasn't telling the rear guard.

Makes no difference to me which way we go, but if we're splitting the party, we need to pay more attention to communication. We're like a push-me-pull-you from Dr. Doolittle.

I love it the way the players immediately split up every time we go underground; it adds a certain sense of... unease ;D

It's a real shame I missed a couple of wandering monster checks thou!
