Dorgan grimaces at the sight.

"I ain't no book-lover but this ain't good. Them ladies back in Ket ain't gonna be happy 'bout this. Seeing as how none of us wanna try them runes on the other door, let's look a little more in here."

Dorgan will follow Des into the room or, if he's reticent to enter himself, the dwarf will lead the group inward.

Desmond bravely steps into the room.

"This is as good a place as any to start searching. Ah... Dorgan, you still have that stone heart thing? Might as well give it a try. Maybe it'll come up with something hidden..."

Desmond starts examining the shelves, looking for any panels or nooks that don't look right or appear out of place or... Have unusual wear marks on them, like they move in the same pattern repetitively.

If he spies any torches in brackets, he'll grab one and light it for better visibility.

Or... There is nothing like that around, he'll ask if anyone has a torch or candle. He'll suggest using a lit torch or candle to check for drafts in the woodwork, which might suggest a hidden passage.

Dorgan replies to Desmond, "Another minute, friend. I gotta drop me axe and dig the Stone outta me pack, so I wanna make sure this room is safe first."

Torben

Torben makes a motion to speak, but squelches himself as the eeriness envelopes the party. He'll follow along with Gustave, keeping an eye on the black maw before them.
