I hate to be the one dragging it out, but as we've learned in Hinterlands anything you put off for tomorrow will get transported to another plane and anther time and you'll be left crying about it... Or hmm something like that.

Wen is trying to find Continual Light, once that is found I'd be more willing to leave. So I'm all for pushing the clock forward with the caveat that if you roll Continual Light that is the week I stop.

Everyone in the Abbey, including Wen and Highbough, are going to starve to death in a month. If we're not moving on the ogres now, then Dorgan is going to forget about the ogres and start worrying about food.

In the fourth town turn Dorgan and Highbough cannot agree what to do. Intolerably stubborn dwarf. Er, elf!
Wen solves two more spells from Ulric's second level spell book. The ref dices to determine which these are and finds [2d10=5, 8]. Therefore Wen unlocks Ulric's Continuous Light and Witch Lock spells.
The ref dices to determine whether any unplanned adventure should occur this turn; 1d6=1, so nothing. The ogres are all quiet.
Three more turns (weeks) of supplies are available...
What for next turn?

Does Dorgan know of any obvious or semi-obvious sources of food nearby? What do the occupying forces of Ket eat? Are they farming at all?

Wen emerges from his makeshift library with a grin on face."I found the knowledge I was searching for it should help us in the long run. Now what was this you were saying about food.?"
Clearly the Elves think very little about supplies, after all have you ever seen a fat elf?

Ket was surrounded by farmland, although many of these were razed in the siege and fighting, so it's not clear how many farms are still operational. Ket was also a major thru-port for trade between the Kingdom and its neighbours, so quantities of mundane and exotic foods were imported. The occupying forces will no doubt have taken possession of Ket's food stocks and farms. They're probably commandeering any incoming caravans too. Aside from this, the local Hinterlands are a fairly barren place to be. The abbey itself has a small apple orchard and internal vegetable garden, but owing to recent damage these are not yet able to keep up with demand.
Dorgan reckons his supplies will need to be supplemented soonish; possibly from Ket or surrounding farms, from a trade caravan (if one can be found), or the Elves, or maybe the Ogres?
What orders for the next turn folks ?

Dorgan says, to Highbough and Wen, Let's kill them ogres. At best, they have some food we can eat. At worst, they have some treasure we can trade to the elves for food.
Dorgan leaves Sir Kord in charge of the Abbey in his absence.
Dorgan takes a day's supply of food with him.
No more time to waste. Dorgan is going with or without the elves.

"As I have been saying for weeks," says Highbough, "Let's go kill some ogres!" The old Elf is eager to lead the way. Perhaps his ability to blink out of harm's way has made him overconfident. Despite his impatient exterior, Highbough is calm on the inside, ever the cagey hunter. He has spent the past several days walking the Abbey's walls, studying the terrain and plotting the route that he thinks maximizes the party's odds to approach unseen. If he spots any sign of ogre patrols, then his instinct would be to track them and pick them off individually outside their lair.

"How far away are these Ogres? Need to know what spells to take for today."

My memory is that the ogre cave visited previously was only a half day trip from the abbey. Can Highbough and Wen please specify which spells they are preparing for this adventure and what scrolls and/or spell books they intend to carry (if any).
Dorgan has said he intends to carry just one day of supplies; will the Elves do likewise?
