"Well," says Josiane quietly; "For moments like this I do have something that may serve..."

And she takes a strange silver coin from her purse.

"Let the Balance be to move against the club now," she whispers, eyes closed tightly as if in prayer; "And let the Owl be to return under the shadow of night..."

She opens her eyes and lets the silver coin spin and flash in the fledgling sunlight...

...and sees the scales glittering in a pale shaft of sunlight for but a moment for the cloud cover closes over once more.

"That was... odd," remarks Mads, peering at the sky sceptically.

The Coin has spoken. Apparently.

Josiane gives a nod of her head; "We move now," she says, returning the coin to her purse, all trace of uncertainty gone; "Do either have you have need to make any purchase or attend to any other matter before we begin? We should make best use of what time we have."

She seems keenly, almost worryingly purposeful...

"I don't" answers Percy, still puzzled by his companions sudden display of faith in randomness; for some reason, the idea of his fate being decided by the toss of a coin, the roll of the dice, or the whims of the cards, makes him very uncomfortable .

"Let's move. The faster we do this, the better."

"To action, then," says Josiane with a bright, confident smile.

And, assuming Mads has no objection, she turns on her heel and strides off in the direction of the Glib Court once more...

Mads voices no objection, and so the company turns about once more and makes their way back down the winding, muddy ally down toward the caravan docks and warehouses.

Shortly they reach the mouth of the Glib Court again, and stand ready at that street corner as porters, merchants and others going about their business curse and huff as they pass for standing idle in the narrow street.

But none really want to tangle with a trio of armed Men (and Women).

The hour approaches mid afternoon.

What now?

Josiane takes in the house the children indicated earlier. What are there in the way of visible entrances/exits?

The Glib Court is a grubby cul-de-sac surrounded by the sides and rears of some six or seven warehouses. None look particularly inviting.

The building at the far end of the cul-de-sac is the one which was singled out by the children. It presents a flat wall of greying timber slats some 30 or 40ft wide, though much of the lower wall is scrawled with innocuous graffiti, or covered with faded and tattered bills.

Half of the wall appears to be a great, 20ft wide barn door, though by the looks of the bills and the piled up garbage it hasn't been opened in a long while. Built into this door is a mantlet -- a normal sized door within the door -- on the far right hand side. This appears to be barred by a brace of chain. Above this door hangs a small wooden plaque and an unlit lantern.

All this can be observed from 60ft away, across the street. To see more detail, the company would have enter the otherwise deserted courtyard...

"Onward," says Josiane firmly, and she strides purposefully into the courtyard towards the seemingly-abandoned building.

Josiane leads Mads and Percy into the tight cul-de-sac were they immediately find themselves out of the general bustle of the street traffic.

With only a few paces more it becomes oddly quiet after the hectic buffeting they had subconsciously become accustomed to.

Josiane strides up to the mantlet and notes that the surrounding mud and garbage is cleared right down to the cobblestones in a path leading directly to the little door. Clearly the warehouse is not quite so "abandoned" as it at first appears.

The chains that bind the mantlet run through a series of steel hoops on either side of the door and are held fast by a serious looking steel lock-box the size of a gauntleted fist.

The wind rustles some of the loose trash, while the murmur of the distant traffic drones on...
