Beringar finds the hold suspiciously clean and tidy. He's usually almost afraid of going anywhere near soap and hot water, but this place has gotten to him. He'll ask if there are any possibilites of getting a bath, a shave (only to trim his beard a bit, mind you), and perhaps even getting his garb washed. Other than that, he'll try to respectfully inquire about the current situation in these parts. Do the snorks show their ugly snouts here, too? Do the elves know about the situation in Ket, and do they care? Any other news of note? Any rumours?
If time permits, Beringar will also try to aquire some shiny elven trinket to take home to his wife. A necklace or ring, perhaps? He's willing to spend up to five of his eight hard-earned silver coins.
In the back of his mind, he's worried about the kindness that the elves have showed them. Where he comes from, nothing is free...

Torben
Torben would inquire about Rufus, and would like to arrange for his proper burial.
Though he'd be interested in learning more about his Boon, he wouldn't dare show it openly in Elven lands.

Olaf sleeps deeply and dreams of strolling along a the bank of a broad slow moving river. There is a green carpet of grass under his bare toes and when he digs them in he feels the warm rich earth. Over his head fluffy clouds float in a bright blue sky and birds flit among the clouds and stoop here and there. To his right the leaves of a stand of trees rustle in a gentle breeze while song birds compete with each other and the rustling leaves for the happiest tune. Olaf raises his hand from his side and discovers there is a hunk of bread stuffed with roasted beef in it, a bite of the savory food brings immense pleasure to both his taste and smell. All is right with the world! If anyone is around to see they see Olaf smile and turn over in his sleep with a deep contented sigh.

When Josiane awakes she will first join Torben in attending to a proper burial for Rufus. She knows little of Hobbit beliefs, but she will employ whatever rituals and prayers she judges to be most appropriate and will seek to have the brave Halfling laid to rest in a green place where flowers will decorate his grave in spring.
Once this is accomplished she will take the time to refill her water flask and finally tend her wounds by means of The Supplication of Medicant Requite.
And then she will proceed to examine the recovered artefacts from the abbey with all the diligence she may.

Gustave slips easily into a deep slumber (as usual); though his night is more restless than usual, taunted by eerie dreams of plaited autumn hair...

Armando's Day
Armando inspects the quarter master's stores, finding it to the busy hub of this operation. The quartermaster is an elderly fellow--even for an Elf--with a bespectacled eye for detail, who keeps exquisitely penned account of the movement of even article into and out of his care. Many elves seem to be coming and going, collecting victuals and wine for the even mean. Other more military looking elves come and go, replacing spent arrows, fetching water skins or whetstones, or boot nails... all as a matter of course.
d6=1 when Armando boldly stretches out his hungry fingers to secretly requisitioning a purse upon the quartermaster's bench, he at the last moment notices the canny old fellow glaring right at him over the top of his glasses, and so hastily thinks better of it!
He returns to the Hall to move his possessions into the barracks that his sleeping companions now occupy so that the elves can continue with their preparations for the evening feast.
He is pleased to note his crystal orb is safely tucked away... and gives himself over to inspecting the wooden box. After a thorough turning over, and period of minute attention given to the clasps, hinges, and lock, he decides it is safe, and then attempts to tease open the lock itself.
d6=6 now with his cunning tools and technique Armando soon has the little mechanism cooperating, and with a gentle snick the lock is disengaged. The lid then comes open most easily and smoothly, revealing a blue velvet lined interior containing a weighty tome that has a look of religious significance about it. Armando doesn't read the Empyrean runes himself, but he knows someone who does...

Beringar's Day
Beringar is directed down to the surface, and from there escorted a short distance further into the forest where he finds the elves have appropriated a series of hot springs for the purpose of bathing. Though only nobles bath more frequently than once a month, the elves are perhaps a more hygenic people than are men, and the immediate vicinity of the springs has been made a most luxurious environment for bathing and grooming. There is a butler in attendance, and Beringar spends a good few hours becoming cleaner and better groomed than he ever remembers being!
During this period, and after as he strolls about Southwatch, he learns that the elvish fastness is essentially a secret place and is rarely frequented by anyone other than elves. Goblins are certainly not tolerated, even the more civilised sorts of Ket; the so called snorks.
The elves know that Ket is under threat, but they are hoping to learn a lot more detail from the players' company in the coming days.
As the evening draws near, Beringar finds himself talking to a couple of the elvish household staff and attempts to negotiate the purchase of a simple ring for his wife | reaction check; 2d6=6 | but the elves prove uninterested in his silver. He'll have to think of something else... or else settle for a piece of regular elvish hardware from the quartermaster's store.

Torben's Day
Torben takes care of the grim task of preparing for Rufus' burial.
The Elves show him a place in the forest where fallen soliders take their final rest; it is a private and serene grove, and there could hardly be a more appropriate place (other than Rufus' home shire, perhaps, but none here even know where that is).
The elves agree to give over a plot for Rufus, somewhat separate from their own people, which Torben is happy enough with, and then leave him to make his own preparations. Torben digs a hobbit sized grave in readiness, and sets aside all of Rufus' possessions. He suspects that the others may want to be part of the service, so he figures that will wait till the morrow.
All the preparations made, he heads back to Southwatch and picks over what remains of Rufus' gear... paying particular attention to the one foot long smoking pike and its accompanying pouch of Longbottom pipe weed, not to mention the thumbsized "tinder box" that produces a tiny flame on demand. It's a technical marvel.

That evening there is a modest meal provided for the elvish soldiery and their four wakeful guests.
Everyone else sleeps through this in their barrack.
Well before midnight, our ex-Giants make their graces and thanks, and then retire to the barrack to get some sleep themselves...
