I'll handle it the same way I do for preparing scrolls.
Roll a d6 compared to your chance in 6 due to wisdom. The result is the number of hours spent per spell level. If a roll fails, you accumulate the time and roll again.
Material costs are 1gp (6sp) per hour spent per spell level.
p.s. You will note on The Cast thread that
Wolfrick already has a small stock of preparations.

I believe it is time to divide the loot, and hence the XP... how do you want to go about it? Right there in the common room? Or you could ask Albert for the use of his wine cellar... or something else perhaps?
I anticipate that quite a few PCs will ding 2nd and 3rd level after a good night's sleep.
After work tonight I will summarise all the loot you have secured (and doubtless Danhem will remind me of anything I miss ;D)
I think the wine cellar might be appropriate.
If it wasn't so late in the day, I'd suggest renting a house in town for our headquarters. Being after business hours, though, I guess that suggestion will have to wait for tomorrow.
I don't know about the rest of the exploring group, but Olaf would prefer to divide the loot and get a bath and a good night's sleep before fighting off Vampires and Zombies. He might not get that option, though, with our Iron Maiden around.

I'm getting a whole new picture of
Josiane in my head now. And it scares me.
But fear not. She has no desire to go dashing off and picking fights with the powers of evil during the hours of darkness, not after only just escaping that Black Sabbath they stumbled on... ;D

Guntrum certainly does not expect a share of the treasure. However being as he did help guard it outside of town and helped carry it through the gates, and seeing how he is a poor man with just 22 cp or so to his name, he does hope that maybe some few coppers might be spent on his room and board until he has the opportunity to prove his worth in battle and earn treasure in his own right.

I think most of the party would be pretty free with some of their coin after it's divided. But coin = XP, so it's important to make that divide first.
Don't worry - Guntrum won't sleep in the gutters.

Inside there is a plump coin purse surrounded by a scattering of gold and silver coins, a beautifully made dagger in a leather sheath, and a well used pipe and tin box. The pipe and tin box look well used and there is a smell of tobacco about them.
Attached to the dagger sheath on a leather thong is a small glass vial stoppered with a cork.
So is this thing a beautifully made dagger or a letter-opener?

Both. It would be, perhaps, smallish for a purely functional weapon in the hands of a Man; but it is beautifully made non-the less. It is just about the right size for a Dwarf or Halfling (or Goblin) however. I call it a "letter opener" because that is likely the function it served in Grumolg's office.
p.s. the glass vial attached on a leather thong is not part of the original construction. It has been tied on as an after-thought.

Gustave and
Desmond/Mondes have both attained the rank of
Veteran (2nd level fighting-Man), as has
Wibert reached the rank of
Snipe (2nd level thief).
...
Woow Ooooo! I can't believe I actually got a character to 2nd level. All that hard work has finally paid off. One for Wibert now a
Snipe.

FYI All,
Sadly Tombowings has had to pull out of the game owing to his now intermittent internet access. Roderick, Flewellen and Pelenwin shall be well remembered!
Pelenwin the Bold shall return to the Temple of Thuul to enter a month of contemplation.
Wolfrick the Doctor, (Tombowing's latest PC), shall remain an NPC alchemist in Ket until his services are required.
