It's a plain wooden door set into the stout, plastered wall by about a foot. It looks old, and well used. There is a handle on the right-hand side of the door... it looks as though it opens into the room beyond. There is nothing about that suggests any mischief.

...it is quite dark within (those with torches are yet further back in the passage), but Dieter notes it is cool, silent, and that there is the unmistakable scent of a field hospice on the air...
