OOC: My apologies Ways work has been a killer this week.

Tafari thinking this little one might be of aid to her uses the opportunity to barge the goblins off of the edge. If she's able to take them both out she tries to catch up with the boy and get his attention.

Tafari springs out of hiding {1d6=4} as the three Goblins barrel past, catching them completely by surprise! {1d20=12} she's slightly too late to catch two of them, but barges one of them immediately over the edge!

"Aaaayiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" the Goblin screams, as it plummets into darkness. Jan looks over his should to see a dark-skinned athletic women waylaying his pursuit -- perhaps his luck has turned?

He looks on in horror as the remaining two Goblins gasp and immediately turn with irate snarls to kill their assailant, but Tafari is lightning fast and in a flash she punches a dagger right into the second Goblin's throat. As it drops to its knees choking awfully on gouts of black blood, she ducks under the wild swing of the third Goblin's pick.

The two of them each step back, eyeing the opponent evilly... weapons ready. The Goblin now has its back to Jan...

{Immediately following round; initiative is rolled, 1d6 Tafari=5, Goblins=2. Tafari attacks 1d20=19! deals 1d6=6, slaying it. Goblin attacks 1d20=1, miss}.

What now?

Tafari gestures to the youngster to come and join the fight. She then flails with her dagger looking to end the goblin or with luck throw it off balance

Jan slaps his hands on his waist where his dagger used to reside before it was lost to the darkness. Panicking for a moment the boy nearly retreats from the fray but he remembers the second dagger the one given to him by his cousin Dolgarth when he left to start his apprenticeship. The dagger that came with a boot sheath.

"Raaaaaaa!" The boy recklessly charges the goblin!

Tafari distracts the Goblin with a few swipes of her dagger while gracefully avoiding it clumsy lunges as Jan rushes up behind it. At the last moment it realises its plight and snaps around just as Jan is about to stab it in the back, and instead prongs it through the eye with his boot knife. The Goblin quivers violently for an awful moment, then drops dead.

Jan gapes a moment at Tafari over the corpse he has just made...

Tafari puts her finger over her lips indicating for the boy to be quiet. She whispers quietly into his ear. We must hide and keep moving, others will find this. Tafari then pushes the second body over the edge so at least there aren't corpses in two separate areas to be found.

That's two into the abyss... but the corpse of the Goblin whom Tafari stabbed in the throat is still warm, lying on the gantry.

Tafari will make sure all of the goblins are over the edge into the abyss before moving quickly away from whence they came keeping to the shadows as best she can. She hopes the young boy sticks with her but if not she won't hesitate to continue on her own.

Tafari disposes of the two corpses efficiently, at least relieving Jan's eyes.

It appears our two misfits have something in common... a desire to leave these mines alive!
