OOC: I just did a map update, it should be current now:
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=835
Area 10, the party encountered an overwhelming number of ordinary-sized rats. More squeaking noises could be heard in the distance, to the south of area 10. These same rat noises were also heard down the tunnel leading east from areas 12 and 13.
#13 leads south to Dungeon Level 2.
#14, 27, and 29 all lead west to Dungeon Level 3.
Other potential areas you could explore include:
Giant spiders in #23
Crawl-tunnel connecting #25-26
Unexplored cave #32
Descend into the Grand Chasm #2/5/6/15. This would take you out of the Dungeon and into the Underground Wilderness, where the Spidergoats play.
Did I miss anything?

We'll need to slot Bilfur into the marching order, and I need to know who is carrying lanterns or torches.

I think we should head down to the next level, our XP is getting cut too severely on level 1. So my vote is to head for 13 (down to level 2).
Proposed Marching Order (based on our previous one): I think Bilfur, having the fewest hitpoints, should keep to the middle of the group.
I know Willie usually carries a lit lantern, I'm not sure about anyone else?

Dougal agrees to the marching order and agrees to head off to the second level of the dungeon from room 13.

Kiplyn is all for going to deeper into the unknown! [Room 13 to Lvl 2 sounds great.]

Frederick is blocking the door with his large frame, preventing our Heroes from accessing the storeroom. If anyone tries to push past him into the Dungeon, he says: "Are we forgetting something?? Adventuring is serious business. There are rules."

Kiplyn looks at Dougal and Willie. "I think the rules have to be explained to our new friend Bilfur."

OOC: Am I sensing slight boredom with the Lawfulness of the Hornpipe scenario? Too many "rules"? Would the players prefer a more Chaotic adventure in a town like Dunwich or Arkham?

Willie slaps his forehead. He'd plum forgot!
"Oh my goodness, I plum forgot!" he explains.
"Bilfur, you look like the Adventuring type, and we could use somebody who's as familiar with flora and fauna as you look to be! But this is a dangerous kind of job, so we've got some Rules we all have to follow in order to be in the Club. Here they are:"
(Willie's voice goes all intone-y as he speaks The Rules, an effect only somewhat ruined by his lisp)
"The rules of Adventure Club:
1st Rule: You do not talk about ADVENTURE CLUB.
2nd Rule: You DO NOT talk about ADVENTURE CLUB!!
3rd Rule: ESPECIALLY not to the HUMANS!!!
4th Rule: NO SPOILERS for new members of the Club.
5th Rule: No snooping around town or causing trouble with the humans.
6th Rule: Do not give in to Chaos!
7th Rule: If this is your first time at ADVENTURE CLUB, you MUST enter the dungeon!
"Now, don't worry if you can't remember all those right away, we can help you. So I guess that's that -- welcome to Adventure Club! Your First Adventure begins -- NOW!"
As he speaks the last word, he looks expectantly up at Frederick, hoping that the veteran Adventurer will choose this time to step out of the way for dramatic effect.
I don't mind heal-on-level-up at all.
Marching order looks good! And I'm in favour of room 13.
Re: more Chaotic adventures, I'm in favour of one or two more delves here in Hornpipe, to explore the "lower levels" a bit, but maybe after that a jaunt to new and strange places would be in order?
