I'm getting closer to done. Still working out equipment and such.
But I wanted to see if I was doing this right:
coffee
[ 5, 6, 5 ], ... 16
[ 3, 5, 4 ], ... 12
[ 1, 4, 3 ], ... 8
[ 2, 4, 6 ], ... 12
[ 2, 3, 5 ], ... 10
[ 2, 1, 3 ], ... 6
[ 5, 2, 1 ]], ... 8
Now if I select the 3rd result (8) for my Purse, that leaves me with:
Str - 12
Int - 10
Wis - 6
Con - 8
Dex - 16
Cha - 12
Right?
And as a Man I can take a 12 for one of my rolls, including Purse, right?
I've already played a Strong fighting-man (Dieter), so I think I'll go with an Archer.
Not sure how the Ranger class works hereabouts, but it it's an option I'd like to know more.
Anyway, more to follow.

No, not quite, Coffee.
First you pull out the set of dice rolls you want for starting coin. Then, all other dice rolls are taken in order.
So, in your example, if you pulled out the first 8 for starting coin, then your stats would be:
Str 16
Int 12
Wis 12
Con 10
Dex 6
Cha 8
THEN you can apply racial adjustments. If you wanted to be an archer-type, you might switch out your DEX for the 12.
I believe WOTE said the three main stats you want to have higher (or at least average) for Ranger are Str, Wis, and Con.
So if you took the 6 for starting coin (it can be done!) and then applied your human bonus to Wis, you'd have:
Str 16
Int 12
Wis 12
Con 12
Dex 10
Cha 8
Starting Coin: 60sp
Not bad for a ranger, though the Cha 8 might limit us to just the two rangers in the group (not really a big deal, I think).

Mush, I made a few adjustments to your character sheet, mostly just moving information into the right squares.
You might consider putting character background in text outside the character sheet (I'll set that post to your name so you can edit it) and using the Notes section to indicate things like "Dwarf Abilities" and "Ratcatcher Lvl 1 Abilities"

The goo goo docs system works well; it was cool to see you editing the document while I was in there too!
So, yeah, going the dual-class route and taking 16 Str was tempting! I like the character concept of a dwarf fighter/rat-catcher, sort of a ranger of the underdeep. But at the end of the day, I decided that I'd rather single-class, put the high score into Int, and deal with the XP penalty from Wis. Even taking the -10% into account, a single-classed PC will reach 2nd level quicker than a dual-class. And isn't the biggest thrill in the game surviving 1st level?
Thrilled to have another Dwarf in the group. Everybody get ready for the Gunter and Boggs show!

We've researched the issue exhaustively several times over the last few years when users have complained on Unseen Servant. This far, I've never been able to find any issue other than: user not subscribed to proper forum/sub forum or the user received one notification, but never visited the forum to reset the notification, which means they won't get them anymore.
I'd first make sure you are subscribed to all of the new sub forums, if that is what you want to rely on.
I think I have maybe one or two subscriptions on here; mostly I just check them habitually. That way I'm not reliant upon the function for notifications.

Nice work mgtremaine.
I presume Alfwin must be Lawful, and that he will be literate?
