Ulric groans as Olaf drops low to the ground, but he quickly follows suit.
"I'm glad I studied this morning," he mutters.
OOC: Good to see that there was indeed a fire beneath that frying pan.

"Worgs and riders, about 6 of them, coming down the stream bed toward us fast!" Olaf hisses, "Haven't seen me, but they'll likely see us...or smell us, so be prepared to fight."

"We'll want to stay out of sight as long as possible to draw them in as close as we can," Ulric says quickly. "If any get away we'll have a big problem. I can put a number of the riders to sleep; if they fall from their mounts that may be enough to kill them. After that I can summon fire against the wolves."

"Back!", hisses Gustave, urging the party into what scant cover is available.
He then nips forward toward the unseen enemy, unshouldering his huge sack of silver as he does so. This, he dumps open on the rocks at the edge of the stream, spilling some of its contents, before sprinting back to cover with the others.
"A tasty distraction, one hopes", he breathes, swinging his blade at the air in readiness.

Desmond reaches into his tunic and pulls out his Silver Whistle. He makes sure everyone else knows he has it out and ready.
He will wait for the opportune time to blow it, though.
If the wargs or riders figure out the party is there, once they start charging in, Desmond will blow the whistle as hard as he can for as long as he can.

YOU if things go badly.
Olaf has his sword and shield ready, but he is lying prone under cover. He'll wait for the riders to go past and if they attack (and I figure either they or we will) will charge out at their flank or rear. Maybe he can gain surprise and get a blow or two in before they can respond to him.

Very good.
Gustave dumps his sack of silver in the open where it is sure to be seen, and then everyone in the company goes to ground. Olaf is some way out ahead of everyone else, with the possibility of observing the enemy as they approach...
Desmond readies his dog whistle but Mondes grabs it from between his lips, "Gimme that, you clutz," he hisses, placing it in his own mouth.
