"Slam the door shut and retreat back to the main hallway!", Maloof urges Wiglaff, putting the latter part of the plan into effect himself.

Franklin falls back along with Maloof.

Aldbane falls back as well, giving space for Wiglaff to shut the door.

The party has escaped destruction - for now...

What next?

Let's try northwards up the corridor, and listen at the next western door (south of "Groth B"). Meanwhile, extremely vigilant against the ooze following us though!

You proceed without incident. Not hearing anything, you try to open the door, but it is locked

Maloof pulls out his lockpicks and has a go at the lock.

The pesky lock refuses to yield to his administrations

Does anyone want to try to bash it down, or shall we move on? (In the latter case, we could try the door next door as we proceed north, the door heading east.)

Maloof takes a careful look back down the hallway to make sure the black blob isn't following us.
