Still trying to catch up on some things IRL, so I'll continue to be a slow poster for the time being. Sorry :/

No problem Verhaden, happy to hear that you're still following the game

Do you come up with all of the characters' boons on your own, or do you have any source(s) of inspiration?
I ask because I aim to steal the idea for my own campaign!

Hi Sully,
I started out by devising a 2d6 table of interesting objects for each class. But almost right away I discovered there wasn't enough variety, especially for the number of fighting-Men in the game. Also I didn't have any variations for non-Humans.
So when most of the "good stuff" from my initial lists had been used I just started skimming through various lists of equipment and/or items from sources like the DMG, encyclopedia of magic items, and treasure lists from old dragon magazines etc. until things catch my eye as "appropriate".
Now that I've "got the hang of it" I think race, class and charisma are all equally important factors in determining what is an appropriate boon. It helps too if the player gives you some hint about the PC background they want

Excellent! I expect I'll begin by appropriating your examples used to date in this game but now I've got some idea of where to look for new boons.
I am really enjoying the game. You've set a high bar for the rest of us GMs.
