OOC: Has Franklin's potion of heroism worn off yet? Part of him wants to pop down the stairs, just for a quick look-see. Deeper than we've ever gone before... It calls to him.

Maloof will accompany Franklin (keeping behind him, obviously!) if he chooses to try the stairs.

Wiglaff is willing to dip down into level 4 briefly if that's what the party's thinking. He'll be in the front rank with both wands ready.

The relationship between "orcs digging" and room 12 should be like the following, is that correct? I might try to fix the map before we explore much further.

I see three people willing to check the stairs down, so let's proceed

The stairs bend back on themselves so that you come out facing north. You see a large room with many exits, but your attention is drawn to the two men blocking your exit. Four others arise from where they were dicing in the middle of the floor. All six are dressed in black armor, with sword and shield, and they all look competent.

"Hold travellers. To proceed further, you have to pay the adventurer's toll. a flat 100 gold"

Maloof sighs and rolls his eyes.

OOC: Franklin can easily afford 100gp but for now, he votes to return back up the stairs to dungeon level 3.

BTW, they just want 100 gold total, not 100 gold per person
