Highbough is ready for action. He flits about on the periphery of the party, using his keen senses and invisibility to guard against ambush.

Of Envongr's goods, the following is ascertained:
His trail rations were destroyed by wolves.
His ringmail is torn and battered, but salvagable with repairs.
His helm is in good order.
His clothing, bedroll, backpack, and waterskin have all been torn apart by wolves.
His pick-axe is in good order.
His coin pouch (1 sp) is there for the taking.

Wen has spent some time examining the staff; but it appears to be a mundane thing, if of rather good quality.
So, it appears that the return foray will have the following marching order:
Torban and Dieter on point,
Wen and Desmond/Mondes,
Josiane and Dorgan,
Ulric and Armando,
Olaf and Guntram,
Gustave and Rufus,
Highbough (still invisible).

Ulric pockets Evongr's silver coin then prepares himself for the continued exploration of the abbey.
He offers to switch places with Wen since he still has some magic left to put into action if needed.

The company enters the abbey once more, and under Ulric's instruction, Torben and Dieter lead the way through the lobby and to their right.
The passages are wide enough that two un-armoured men could walk side by side, but not quite wide enough for two fighting-man with weapons ready abreast. So Torben is slightly ahead of Dieter (a good wing man if ever there was one).
The passage leading from the lobby veers off at a 45 degree angle to the left, but is otherwise straight. The right-hand wall of the passage is likely the abbey's outer butress, while a dozen paces along the left hand wall there is a closed door. The passage also continues forward into the gloom...

Wen gives his place to Ulric. Instead he would put the dagger away and bring out a torch and take the position of light bearer. Once he has one lit he would offer a torch to anyone else who wanted to carry one. Wen also makes sure his candles are ready in his pouch. These will be used along the way to mark our passing.

Ulric takes out his lantern, checks the oil and lights it.
"The more light the better," he says as Wen lights his torch and offers more to the others. "We have a long column."
"Did you close that door on your way back to find us?" Ulric asks Dieter.

"Which door was that, now?" Dieter asks (OOC: Because his player doesn't remember...)

Wen and Ulric swap places in the marching order, and each brings forth his own light source. Ah, visibility is improved already.
There are three routes from the lobby. Two have been explored previously; one that led to the dire wolf room, one that led to the library/abbey, and a third that remains unexplored.
It is this unexplored route which you are now traversing, so the door to the left is as yet untried.
