Invisible Highbough contemplates joining Ulric and Olaf, who have dived out the rear windows of the abbey.

He would have to traverse the entire 100ft length of the interior, circumventing the great tar creator and also the 12ft tall monster to do so. Or -- he calculates -- he could slip unseen out the side door (by which he entered this place) and skirt around the exterior of the abbey to find his friends.

This latter course seems wiser, and so he sets off...

Meanwhile, in the passage, Gustave tip toes around the grisly pile of corpses and attains the door. Wherein, he removes his helmet so that he might press an ear up to the door to fathom what might be within...

...and lo! He hears the gentle singing of a sweet maiden. Surely there must be a nun inside, in need of some rescuing! Greatly pleased with this, he tries the door, and it opens easily for him to enter...

OOC: I thought invisible Highbough was following Gustave down a 10' wide corpse-choked hallway?

Other way is fine too, whatever's easier.

Aplogies Mush, I wasn't clear on what you wanted to do. I thought this:
mushgnome wrote:Invisible Highbough leaves the guardian apparition behind and catches up with his friends, giving a quick "hey guys!" so there are no invisibility-fueled friendly fire incidents. (Looking at you, Ulric! Flaming invisible Elf? A ghastly thought!!)
meant you wanted to join Ulric ?

This is the layout:

...............................................................
.....Outer Wall................................................

Gustave, Highbough and the big bad guy are in red.

Olaf and Ulric are out the window, behind the smashed altar.

What do you want to do?

Invisible Highbough follows the big guy with the sword and hopes for the best.

Ulric moves around the corner toward the main door leading into the abbey. He waves his arms over his head to catch the attention of Rufus and Torben then puts a finger over his lips.

Ulric will move up to stand beside the edge of the doorway and wait for the others.

OOC: I assume that the doors are open?

With a care to remaining absolutely quiet, Armando gingerly inspect the artifacts in the light that passes in from the tall windows behind him... {1d6=3; by his guileful cunning he remains hidden}.

The bowl looks like it would have once been semi-precious. It's 12" across, silver plated, and etched with the kind of Holy prattle one expects to find in any Church of Thuul... "thou shalt, thou shalt not," etc. etc. The candelabra is much the same; the stand is fashion to resemble the Enigma of Thuul (something like a figure "8"), atop which are three arms and mounts for three candles. The whole of it is silver plated, and similarly etched. It's almost 18" tall.

Olaf has already begun the trip around the abbey, staying low so as to not be visible from within, so Ulric is following behind Olaf.

There is no reason to suspect that the doors have been closed... but Ulric won't know for certain until he reaches them.

Meanwhile, he spies his fellows out in the courtyard, carrying Guntram.
