I completely forgot about that ring! Thanks for the reminder!
Dieter, having dropped his end of the chest and drawn his sword, leaps off the stairs to the ravine floor.
His sword, it seems, has not had enough of Ogre blood...

Mads the Fair
Sensing that perhaps a retreat would only garner him an arrow in the back, Mads turns himself into a moving target and makes his way towards the Ogre. At the top of his lungs, he yells "Boris! Fix! NOW!!!" as if to signal a secondary company in waiting. He grips his war axe tightly, as it may be the only piece of himself that sees tomorrow's dawn.
Should I have 4 of 9 HP instead of 3?

Yes, Mads currently has 4 of 9 hit points. Thanks for picking that up

Andaros will follow Dieter, but instead of attacking the ogre and letting himself be shot in the back, he'll detour and will try to kill the knave that's closest to the humanoid, using the guys body as cover (e.g. standing at the west side of the knave, and not showing his back to the other archers.)

Dieter and Olaf, and Andaros and Thorgrim simultaneously drop the heavy chests right where they stand to a great clatter. Olaf quickley ducks behind the bulky, wooden thing to hastily unshoulder his shortbow, and strings an arrow under the cover it affords. Dieter utters a command word before the dust has landed, and -- by the power imbued in The Ring of Gambado -- leaps mightily into the dark air to hop righ over Andaros and Thorgrim and Ulric, all of whom were before him upon the narrow ledge.
Scarcely aware of this, Ulric turns back -- clutching his wounded shoulder -- and gets low upon the ledge as he edges his way back to the dunjon door in the hope of gaining its shelter before being pierced by another arrow. Gustave and (the invisible) Highbough are of the same mind, and both fall back to that protection, with missiles still hailing upon them all the while.
Roll for targets (1-2=Olaf, 3-4=Ulric, 5-6=Gustave; 3d6=1, 2, 6) (3d20=5, 8, 15) A pair of arrows thunk deep into the chest, dangerously near to Olaf, but a third shaft finds Gustave, even as he steps through the door, biting him between the shoulders for (1dd=3) 3 hit points.
Stepping into the grim threshold Highbough, and Gustave -- gritting his teeth -- check the darkness that no further foe assails the company from the rear. Fortunately, that evil outcome has not yet come to pass.
As the occurs, from the ledge Andaros and Thorgrim both hurry after Pelenwin and Mads, veering toward the stream rather than the ghastly Ogre so that they might contest arms with those knaves in the ravine. "My BEARRRD!" roars Thorgrim as the adventurers pound across the rocky ground with another volley of missiles coming right at them from the dark air.
(Roll for targets; 1-4 Andaros (in front), 5-6 Thorgrim (behind); 3d6=5, 5, 1) The knaves have no love of Dwarfs (perhaps explaining Nidhogg's seeming treachery?) for two target Thorgrim despite Andaros having the lead (3d20=12, 16, 12) and one cruel missile indeed flies true (1dd=5) punching through Thorgrim's caracpace for 5 hit points of damage.
Meanwhile Pelenwin at last comes face to face with his nemesis, Deggerhund, with pole-axe to hand. Initiative is rolled (1d6; Pelenwin=4 -2(for pole-axe), Deggerhund (attacks twice versus level 1 PCs)=2, 1) Pelenwin and Deggerhund come together with great lunges of their axes (Pelenwin; 1d20=3, Deggerhund; 1d20=9) but the mighty clash of steel causes little harm. Deggerhund is not done at that, and the fiersome monster then shoves Pelenwin off by his sheer brute force and then hews again at his foe (1d20=20!) this time striking bold Pelenwin resoundingly upon his white helm (5dd=2, 4, 1, 3, 6) for 6 hit points of damage.
Mads roars out into the dark for support as he paces after Pelenwin, angling for good position next round, and then is astounded (but not altogether displeased) as Dieter drops from the sky like a meteor come to ground, drawing his broad blade from its sheath during his quick descent from the heavens.
As all this comes to pass, Nidhogg gives an impudent sign as he scurries toward the stair, ledge and dunjon door at haste. The nearest knave sneers and hurls his crooked knife at Nidhogg's back as he runs (1d20=15) catching him (1dd=1) but fortunately inflicting just a glancing blow (1 hit points).

Pelenwin, Dieter, and Mads are all within striking distance of the terrible Deggerhund.
Your intentions for the following round?
