The orc guards strike swiftly, but are no match for the heroes, who brush aside their attacks and cut them down. The other orcs notice the commotion, and some drop their tools and draw weapons, while others decide to make use of the tools in their hands

Do Franklin and Rhod spread out to the walls to allow missile fire, retreat back to the room they came from, or wade into the mob of orcs?

What do the others do?

Maloof

If the others spread out to allow missile fire, Maloof will shoot at orcs with his light crossbow.
If the others retreat back into the room, Maloof will hide to the side and attempt to backstab any orc which comes through the doorway.
If the others wade into the mob of orcs, Maloof will move into the room when there is enough space for him to remain out of melee, and try to stealthily circle around the walls to get at the orcs from behind.

Aldbane will stick to his original plan of waiting for a round of missile fire before going in to melee. But if the other party members forego missiles, he will wade into melee now.

Franklin steps aside to allow missile fire.

Yes, spread out to allow missile fire. That was the original plan and I see no reason to change it.

The orcs won initiative. Rhod and Franklin can take one attack each, then step aside to let missiles unleash through the door, and face a second attack, or they can stand their ground, but block missile fire

One attack and step aside, please.

Franklin will take one attack then step aside so the missiles can fire.
