So the plan is to open the door, and attack the orcs you are expecting to see?

From the sounds ofit, there are probably at least a dozen orcs, so can I have a preliminary on what you think each of you will be doing in the first round if you gain surprise?

In the first round, Maloof will simply keep back out of way of the initial assault force.

OOC: Unless anyone suggests a different/better plan: Franklin volunteers to shoot through the door with his sling. If there is a leader-type or caster, he would hope to kill it with one lucky shot.

In a group of six, I usually like to have at least 3 people respond in times of action, and then I will extrapolate the other three, so I am desiring input from at least one more person

Rhod will be first through the door, sword and shield at the ready. He'll move off to the left of the door (if possible) so as to leave a clear line of fire for missiles.

(And he devoutly hopes somebody will come in with him.)

If Rhod is proposing melee (instead of missile fire) he could probably talk Franklin into it.

I'm just thinking that we can only get a few people firing through one doorway. If we have others inside the room, off to one side, we can engage more of them at the same time.

(Also, I'm usually too impatient to use missiles, except in a field battle where we have rounds and rounds before we close with the foe.)

Aldbane will allow the archers/slingers a round of fire before moving into the room for melee with the second rank.
