Josiane rolls her eyes at the news of further Halfling calamities...
"As swiftly as I may," she replies; "We have wounded here."
She will finish tending to
Olaf first.

The Reliquary
Gustave uses his esteemed boot to artlessly push the lockbox and sack across the room to the verge of the passage. Then he examines the serf's crockery... it is of little interest to a man of means such as himself, a bunch of crude wooden cups and bowls such as one might find at any downtrodden, crossroad tavern frequented by knaves, barflies, and knackerunds. None the less, he sweeps the collection entire into his open pack with the flat of his blade, the whole of it clattering within and filling the pack nearly by half.
All in a good days' pillaging.

The Infirmary
| Yes, Dieter is here... |
Josiane continues to gives Olaf more tender care than he likely deserves, while Invisible Highbough's ears twitch by the door.
| Does Olaf intend to take a swing of Dorgan's brew, or spend a full turn resting here..? |

"Right then" says Gustave, shouldering his now bulging pack with the satisfaction of a job well done.
He gives the room a final threatening glare before turning on his mailed heel and striding back into the hallway, shielding his eyes with a mailed glove in anticipation of another flash of light as he does so.

When Wen arrives at the Reliquary he would ask what happened. Then see blind halflings and Gustave inside the room. "Aha so there was a secret treasury after all. How does the trap work?"
Wen try to sense the magic surrounding the door and chamber, are there any hints as to how it is triggered or the general feeling of it?

Ulric makes his way across the chamber to the staff that Gustave kicked out of the secret chamber.
"Ah, this has more potential," he says enthusiastically. "Perhaps this is one of the artifacts that we are seeking."
Ulric studies the staff carefully searching his memory for some shred of recognition, but does not touch it out of respect for unknown power.
"How are you doing in there?" Ulric calls to Gustave as he sees the warrior appear out of the corner of his eye.

Dorgan will hang out, waiting for the remains of the ooze to stop sizzling so he can pick through them in more detail. Of course, if Wen wants his staff back, the dwarf will return it immediately.
He'll also wait to see if Olaf is ok after Josiane's ministrations, or if he wants a slug of Dwarfish spirits.

Olaf thanks her and adds, "You need to see to the halflings. If they are blinded it means they stuck their noses in where they shouldn't have and maybe it has something to do with why we are here."
"I'd like to get the relics and get out of here if we can." Olaf says, "I fear cleaning this place of its evil is going to be a job we should be better prepared for before we take it on."

Olaf will take a swig of Dorgan's brew...as bad as it smells and as bad as it tastes, he'll down it in a gulp!

Gustave blinks at the sudden attentions of Ulric and Wen, still grinning to himself with an air of smugness.
"Ah, my dear weavers of arcane arts", he acknowledges, "yes, plenty to ponder on here for your enlarged intellects, indeed! Our man Armando has found us a hidden chamber, though it is no friend of intruders."
He halts at the verge, and pushes the retrieved articles across the threshold with his boot, "When one enters the chamber, it responds by attempting to blind you - well, succeeding in some cases yes? my little hobbits?"
"Then", he continues, "it seems the items within are imbued with a passion to burn the flesh like fire and ice combined."
Finally he dumps his pack into the hallway, says "Err...close eyes", and follows himself, shielding his eyes with a mailed mit and hope.
