(Guntram, Dorgan, Highbough, Josiane)

Ahead Guntram and Highbough both feel a knot of ice in the pits of their stomachs as a foe most terrible emerges silently from the dark in the mouth of the passage.

"Ssseeee mmmeeeee at youuurrrr peehhhhrrrriiilllll!" it hisses; the aberration is tall and swathed in tattered black robe and cowl which reveals inhumanly white and withered flesh, long thin arms with long black claws, and a face with feral fangs and terrible black pits of eyes.
OOC: I'm assuming you mean Dorgan when you refer to Highbough above.

Dorgan's knees buckle for a moment at the sight of their new foe but he doesn't move back an inch.

He mumbles "This... is not good."

And more loudly... "GUSTAVE!"

Filling his lungs with icy-cold air, the dwarf is about to roar a challenge and charge when he hears Josiane begin her chanting once again.

He'll instead shove his axe handle into his belt, draw his remaining vial of Holy Water, and (if it approaches despite the Sacrosanct Soliloquy) throw it at the undead wretch.

Should Josiane hold the fell wight off, the dwarf will wait on the attack and hope Gustave can make it back before Josiane runs out of breath.

All of what you posted is perfectly fine, but I had it thus:

...#########################################
..X...................N..H...d..J...../.....
...##################################/......
.@@#@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@#/.....
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@#/....
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@#G...

N Guntram
H Highbough
d Dorgan
J Josiane
G Gustave
/ Stair
X Aberration

The above is not to scale, of course. The passage is longer than it appears, 5ft wide at the floor and narrower at the ceiling, which is only 6ft overhead. It is somewhat like an inverted coffin in cross section.

There is little enough room on the ledge for two persons without swinging weapons...

Gustave, blood still fired by his recent success against these 'undead', prepares his blade for his third decapitating coup-de-grace of the afternoon, when Dorgan's booming voice echoes down the passage (if anyone knows how to yell in tunnels, it should be a dwarf).

He pauses mid-strike, somewhat miffed as his dream of regaling his triple-header to the lovely Dutchess Wesney of Panoo - much a fan of dueling and swordplay as well as other, more soothing activities - encounters a last minute snag. But was that...fear in the dwarfs voice? His sanguinity rapidly drains to a clear-headed certainty that something is most assuredly amiss, and with but a cursory - but quite jealous - glance at Dieter (who's sizable form stands astride the top of the opposite stair, buzzing with eagerness to behead the remaining undead) he turns on his mailed heel and doubles back to the top of the stair with haste, and furrowed brow.

{It appears from the map that the fiend is the doorway to the next room; assuming this.....} Guntrum waits a few moments - an eternity under the circumstances - to see if Josiane's chant is effective. If this fails to deter the fiend, he will let it approach halfway down the corridor then charge it with his shield foremost in an attempt to use his sheer size as a battering ram against it in the cramped corridor. He prays silently to Thuul or whatever gods might listen that his companions will retrieve and burn his body.

The Second Vault
(Olaf, Desmond/Mondes, Ulric)

The trio of adventurers emerge into the second vault for a second time. It is filled with burned and charred bodies, still smouldering from Ulric's sorcerous purging. Despite this the air is tangibly chill once more...

Directly ahead of them is the strange spherical entity with the man-shaped cavity in it.

What now?

Josiane attempts to raise the sacred versus to her lips once more (1d6=5) and it all come flooding back to her, and her soliloquy resumes unabated!

Meanwhile, Guntrum grits his teeth and prepares for the worst, but for a blessing the worst is averted. The fiendish apparition fades back into the darkness of the ante-chamber, and for a moment the chill is slightly less.
