Yes, exactly.

Something bulky, spherical, roughly 4ft high. Nobody has looked at it up close.

A gleeful "Haa haaaaa!" eminates from the vault as Dorgan moves to his new task, perhaps confirming his assumption. It is followed quickly with further taunts between emphatic grunts that presumably represent sword thrusts.
"Where are you off to then my pretty? Look at me when I am removing your rotting noggin!"

Olaf says in answer to Dieter's comment about the torches going out, "Oh, yeah! Okay then, don't put it out, Ulric, but I don't think there is anything for it but for us to go down these stairs and try to fight our way up the other side."

"Unless, Ulric can do another spell like he did before and purge the pit of the foul creatures?" Olaf glances at the magic man, "Can you?"

"Are we all here?" Olaf tries to see behind Ulric...he doesn't see the hobbits, but surely they didn't remain behind. They *must* be back further in the passage, just too low for him to see, "Ulric, will you come forward and do your magics again?"

So, from where Dieter is, there's the stairs going down and then the floor 30' below. Other than that, it's back the way we just were.

If that's the case, then my plan is formulated.

"Ulric, old son, will you trust me with your glowing stick?" Dieter asks with a confident grin. "I think I can get these fiends out of your way, so you can rejoin our friends over there."

"Still no sign of 'em, less'n that bright flash we saw was them. If they're as handy with cold steel as that Gustave fella, I reckon they'll be fine."

Dorgan settled in next to Guntrum and began to watch the corridor for movement.

"I agree with ya, though. Better to get out now. Hope they show up soon."

That is indeed the case.

"Alright, guys, so what's the plan?"

Desmond looks down both directions of the passage at the rest of the small group to see if anyone knows wha...

"Hey... where are Wibert and Pel? They were just here!"

Olaf's attention is divided between Dieter, the advancing undead, and Desmond asking where Wibert and Pel are. He glances back and forth torn between pushing forward to attack the monsters or falling back to search for the missing two.

"What?" Dieter roars. "They should know better than to run off at a time like this. Go find them!

"I'll hold these guys off (as usual)."

Dieter's getting good and angry, so I wouldn't worry about these undead guys.

Desmond nods and turns to back into the room previously cleansed of undead with fire.

(Anyone else have a light source? Desmond doesn't...)
