If Aldbane has time before it reaches him, he'll cast light on the blob, backing up and preparing to flee down the ladder after the others, if needed.

Franklin protects Aldbane long enough to cast the light spell (but has one foot on the ladder).

Naillus does have a wand of fire, which I think is the best way to fight it. He could alternate the fire and cold wands thinking it would do more damage. Question is, does he have enough time before it gets to him.

Should we just retreat and run for it?

You recognize it as a black pudding, something you killed with fire on an earlier delve. It is slow moving, I would let Nailus scamper up and try his Wand of Fire on it before it reached you

Then Naillus will use his Wand of Fire against the Black Pudding.

Since it's slow-moving, Maloof will not descend the ladder (yet) and instead call for Naillus to ascend.

The halflings will add a volley of sling stones to the attack.

Just a regular update to let you know I am alive. Outside of work, I have been focused on my sister-in-law's estate and cleaning out the house, looking after Jamie, and taking courses. I am on vacation starting next week, so I think I should be able to make posts next week

Maloof Aldbane throws a Light spell on the blob, lighting up the area. Nailus then lights it even brighter, scorching the pudding with fire. Balbo, Drogo, and Franklin, pepper it with sling stones, bashing it some more. The pudding is vastly reduced in size, but struggles on, it is now 10 feet away

Maloof will concentrate his efforts on moving so as to keep away from the blob. If he can shoot a quarrel at the blob while doing so, he will, but his primary goal is to not come in contact with it!
