Maloof stays back in the hall near the door keeping watch (invisibly) while the others fool around with the coffins.

I am willing to say you have excess silver pieces lying around
Aldbane will carefully place a pile of silver coins on each coffin lid before leaving.

Naillus will counter, "Ok, I am not the most devout person and I don't claim to speak for any deity, but regular silver pieces? At the very least they would need to be blessed, possibly arranged in a holy symbol, maybe consecrated? Aldbane was able to force them to retreat, for which I will give a suitable donation to his God, but, and I am hoping I am not being sacrilegious here, I just don't think silver pieces will do it.

If we want to continue onward, I am with you, but my advice is to retreat, get proper equipment so this nest does not increase in size."

"Soldra the Just has shown me no ritual for blessing silver in this fashion - but I don't think these creatures emerge from their slumber unless disturbed, so I suggest we write a warning on the door for any future visitors," Aldbane says.

| Obviously meta-gaming here, but some undead are affected by ordinary silver weapons, there is no mention of the silver being somehow blessed or consecrated in OD&D/DD. |

(OOC: Yeah, I am aware, I was trying to roleplay an elf who has no concept of how Clerical magic or abilities work. I hope I did not offend.)

No worries, no offense taken!
