Flin impatiently paces back and forth, awaiting the return of Tass and Thanis

Wraislin studies the structure from a distance.

Perhaps, somewhere in the vast catacombs of his intellect, he can divine some insights into its origins and history.

Tass smiles happy to be back with the group. "It's really busy down there, between the guards, the monks, the workers and the engineers it's a full house.". He would go on to relay what he saw and describe in details the repairs under way and the layout of the inside of the chapel. "I don't think we can sneak in as a group there are just too many people around and too many places to be spotted from." he finally adds.

Giving approximately one-seventh part of his to attention to the report disgorged by Tass, Wraislin simultaneously allows the cathedral restoration to fall into the middle distance of his skeptical gaze as he searches his mental archives for relevant histories that might assist in the assembly of a working theory...

In the sorcerer's estimation the cathedral was likely constructed a thousand years ago by the now-extinct Ryzantines. Their long-ruling Empire was ultimately dissolved five centuries past; superseded by the still evolving patchwork of independent states extant today. The once influential Ryzantine Papacy is now one of several relatively obscure belief systems---but many of the old Empire's impressive architectural constructions have been re-purposed by subsequent occupiers. That is almost certainly what is going on here, although the identity of these new occupiers is unclear. Judging from its scale, the cathedral surely must have overlooked a notable civic center but... all that is visible here is a small perimeter of semi-ruined buildings. The question is: what happened to the rest of the city?

"Hmm...." muses Wraislin, to himself and Tass simultaneously.

What's the plan Team?

In my next post (tomorrow) I'll dice to see if the party is spotted or some other random encounter happens...

Mayhap this is where the enemies causing this Strife have holed up, Garamon ponders aloud, let us enter and seek them out. Is there another way into that cathedral? Garamon leads the way into the ruins.

Stern hoists his big sword and follows Garamon into the ruins. He skulks from building to building, taking cover as he can, anxiously scanning the horizon for the harpies' return.

Tass turns to Flin and says "I did mention that there are people everywhere in there right..."

Thanis says, For this big of a group, with half of us well armored, we aren't going to be able to sneak in. I don't know why we wouldn't try the same tactic we used at the moathouse. Make a commotion, lure some of them out, and weaken them while they are in smaller groups.
