Taking stock of the (damp) supplies on the cart, it is appears there are roughly enough trail rations (boring though they are) to keep the present company at large for another week or so.
There are also almost 20 flasks of oil.
And two treasure chests.

Wibert wakes happily after the fun night. He will retrieve the poke of Dwarfish anvil coal to examine if it can be used again, if so he will mind it. "I say this coal was mighty handy last night, now how about breakfast. I am sure we had some left overs last night", says Wibert.

"Save the coal Wibert," Ulric says after completing his studies. "We may need it for another night or two. A cold breakfast will be fine."
"I agree we should turn our attention to the Saxxon's gatehouse next. The brigands seem to have lost their best men yesterday and we scattered a large number of them. Let's conceal the cart and our bulkiest supplies. Although I think everyone should carry a days worth of food just in case."
OOC: Ulric puts the following items into the cart wrapped in his bedroll to lighten his load:
3 leather scroll cases, 2 ounces writing ink, 1 feather quill, 2 1 oz glass bottles (empty), 2 daggers, sling
He then puts one days worth of trail rations into his backpack.

Highbough arises his old philosophical self, refreshed by a good night's sleep, and addresses the group:
"Now is the moment we've been waiting for! Tonight we will sleep in comfortable beds, warmed by a proper fire, safe within strong stone walls. We will have a base of operations from whence to explore the ruins and surrounding countryside, and a place to store our treasure."
"We have slain the Ogres; we have bested the enemy champions! Let us strike now with no hesitation or mercy!"
"We should approach the gatehouse by stealth and strike with confidence and teamwork. Together, we cannot fail!!!"

Desmond breaks his fast on some of his trail rations and stows the rest of his (minimal) gear in short order. He is soon ready to adventure for the day!

"Carry some of those flasks of oil along and we can use them like fire bombs." Olaf says, "Stuff a rag of cloth in the mouth, light the cloth and toss the flask over walls, through doors and into groups of enemies. Those it doesn't hurt, it should at least scatter."

Dieter smirks around his rations when he hears this.
"Funny," he mutters after swallowing. "That's what they thought."
