Hey, I believe in you. Dorgan, on the other hand, is way more pragmatic than me.

Of course, at least one of those two heads might remember that Percy shot it while Josiane gave it lunch... ;D

The two-headed dog pounces with an un-nerving growl!
Josiane attempts to lift it over herself upon her shield (1d6=3) as it tries to tear her apart (2d20=9,9). The mass of the dog is greater than she anticipated, and it is deflected awkwardly from her by its own momentum rather than carried over her. But by the best fortune, its snapping jaws too are turned away.
Mads sees his opportunity and lunges with the gleaming rapier which he has just now pulled from its sheath (1d20=4) but he is not well positioned to reach the monster.
Percy loads a bolt hastily into his crossbow, though how he intends to fire it safely is anyone's guess.
Half way up the stair, Dorgan has dallied as long as he dares; awful shuffling and moaning sounds draw nearer from the darkness that now surrounds him.

Dorgan will bound up the stairs and circle around the dog so that he has a clear path to the exit.
"Get the dog between you and the stairs! The horde is almost here!"
If a chance to attack the dog presents itself, Dorgan will do so, but his primary goal is getting the dog between him and the stairs.

The sword of Jehan flashes from its sheath as Josiane maneuvers round the beast as best she may, attempting to follow Dorgan's instruction and get it between the party and the stairs.
She will concentrate purely on defence in this combat, doing all she can to protect her comrades and herself from the vicious animal's slavering jaws.

Initiative is rolled (1d6; Josiane=2+1, Dorgan=2, Percy=3+1, Mads=5+1, Dog=2).
Mads follows through with another brisk series of stabbing attacks (1d20=6), but the dog writhes away and then bounds right past him.
"Merde!" Percy curses, unable to get a clean shot at the hound as it hurls itself toward Josiane, who thrusts her mentor's sword ahead of herself (1d20=16) impaling the dog upon the blade (2dd=5,5) for 10 hit points before it can savage her!
The hound give a last yelp of dismay as it thuds heavily to the ground at Josiane's feet, pulling the sword from her grasp.
There is little time to celebrate however, for there comes a thudding of heavy feet upon the stair, and an odour most foul comes upon the air...
"It is the living dead!" declares Mads, wide eyed.
And indeed it is. They come.

Josiane has no desire to celebrate. This creature was not evil and now it lies dead by her hand, although in truth it gave her little choice. Her eyes are red and glistening.
With all speed she sets foot upon the hound's corpse, sets hand on her blade and pulls with all her strength to free it.
She will not abandon her foster-father's sword in this filthy place, Undead or no...

The strain is evident in Dorgan's voice as he urges Josiane to hurry.
"Front door or back, I care not. But we be leaving now!"
The Dwarf will move to the lady's side, prepared to defend her from the first zombie that approaches, until she frees her blade.

Josiane hurries.
As soon as her sword is free she will give the dog's corpse an almighty shove with her boot and try and pitch it down the stairs into the path of the oncoming Undead.
If they stop to snack on it, all to the good. If it trips a couple of them over, so much the better.

Josiane hastily frees her sword and sheathes it, and then with Dorgan's help, they lift the heavy dog between them and fling it down the stair just as the first of the walking dead comes into sight in the half dark.
"Let's go!" urges Mads, as he and Percy are already at the tent flap.
Josiane and Dorgan are only too happy to oblige, and run toward the opening as quickly as they can...
