Willie is ready to engage in melee with the skeletons.

"Fall back slowly,"
he suggests aloud, "and we'll hold them at the door!"
OOC: Should we pause to discuss Willie's suggestion, of a defensive fall-back to the door? Or shall I roll the dice?

Hit point summary: Bilfur 3/3, Dame Simonetta 5/9, Willie 6/11, Kiplyn 6/6, Dougal 7/10, Wilbur 9/12

This is a dangerous situation (4 party members including two of the 'tanks' are 6hp or less, meaning they can potentially be killed by a single unlucky hit), so please consider your next move wisely!

Well since Kiplyn and Dougal are outside of the room we can't really comment on the plan but we are being sneaky to try and help....

I like the idea of falling back to the doorway where we can limit the number of skeletons able to attack us simultaneously. I think our best bet would be turn our backs and run before the skeletons come within melee range... but I'm not sure if it's too late for that or not? However, if we are making more of a fighting withdrawal then the skeletons will likely try to flank us, although it would allow Dougal and Kiplyn to target the flankers.

OOC: I made this map to help me visualize the situation better. Now that I'm looking at it, Dougal and Kiplyn aren't that far away, and could certainly join in the fun this round (if they wanted to).

Any changes to your actions, seeing this map?

'equal' signs = cots
D = Dougal
K = Kiplyn
W W = Willie and Wilbur
S = Dame Simonetta
B = Bilfur
u = undead skeletons

1) It looks like we're definitely too close to the skeletons to simply turn and run for the door.
2) The skeletons are already pretty bottled up, but I think there are a few advantages to retreating:
i) allows Dougal and Kiplyn to backstab.
ii) the extra funnelling of the doorway once we pass through, hopefully we can force them to come through one-by-one while three of us can attack.
iii) if things turn bad, the possibility of closing the door and trapping the skeletons back inside.

So I'm still favour the fighting withdrawal strategy.

Kiplyn moves into the nook to his right and thinks invisible thoughts......(Dagger ready)....(Please don't see me, please don't hear me....) (I have a surprise for you walking bone piles)
