If we are "rushing the beast" then Franklin would certainly want to be part of that. Probably best to hold back his archers, though.

I basically see two approaches - volley missile fire, then hold the line like Captain Kirrahe, or rush and swarm

Does Franklin have time to drink a potion before the charge? If so, he will chug his potion of heroism (but not if doing so will cost him a round of action).

If he has time Wiglaff blasts the creatures with his wand of cold before charging in to join the melee.
