Desmond moves to the left side of the room to try and see what is in the area currently out of view. As he walks past the tables, he'll keep an eye out for any forgotten coins that might be on the tables.

Olaf enters the room, holding the scepter high to cast as much light on the interior as he can. He'll move carefully, looking for dangers in all directions.
"Look it all over carefully gentlemen, but be careful yourselves." the tall warrior says.

Desmond moves cautiously along the left wall of the parlour, carrying the torch, his eyes skimming over the paraphenalia left on the table tops in a quick search for easy coin -- but alas, there is no such luck. Only cards and dice and empty glasses. It does appear as though these tables were left in a hurry though...
Koch follows Desmond at a respectable distance, and searches behind the frist two wall hangings which he encounters as he moves along. He is not much of an art collector himself, but these seem gaudy pieces. The frames themselves are a foot wide, brazenly carved and gilded in what might be gold leaf. The first painting is four foot tall and three wide. The second half that size. But the wall is good and solid behind each... there might be seven or eight more of these spaced out along the wall, he estimates.
Meanwhile Olaf treads into the room so that his bright sceptre lights the way for everyone else. He casts his keen gaze about the room as he goes, wary of anything (1d6)...
From this new vantage Desmond sees that there is a servery of some kind just ahead along the left-hand wall, while across the room there is a modestly impressive bar where drinks could no doubt be served. Beyond this he sees three new doors -- two of these accessed from behind the bar.
Gustave steps into the room and can only lament the timing of his arrival (though in truth the place looks crass and unclean -- even by Gustave's own somewhat dubious standards), while -- from the doorway -- Wibert stands watch with an arrow ready on his bow, and suggests that those in the room search the stage. But nobody has made it so far into the room yet...
...Andaros, the long haired southerner, also arrives.

Desmond will examine the servery along the left-hand wall for anything of note or interest before approaching the bar area. He'll cautiously make his way to the opening to the back of the bar, along the right-hand side, and then examine the area behind it.

The "servery" is nothing more a pair of bared windows built into the curved wall. It is too high to be of any real use to a Halfling, but Desmond can see that -- rather oddly -- the bars come down from the top of the window but end at a horizontal bar some six inches above a the bottom window-sill. Why there would be a gap at the bottom is anyone's guess...
On the other-side of the strange barred window, Desmond can see by the flickering orange light of his torch a small room. It is only about 10ft long and 5ft deep. In the shadow he can see a bench, and a stool within, and a door at the rear.
There doesn't seem to be any way into the little space from this side, however.

"It looks like the patrons of this place left in a hurry, but not so fast as to leave money behind." says the tall thin warrior as he moves past the tables.
Olaf then moves toward the stage, "What have we here?"
He will examine it and the "spotlight effect", but he will remain cautious and careful in his movements.
