Oh cool! I have to admit that I like what I've seen mechanically but I have NO idea what's going on. Also hello from the U. S. A.

waysoftheearth, if you need any help, just ask. You're running a hell of a game.

Hello waysoftheearth, how heavy is Krystin's holy symbol I am carrying? Would it be fitting for Padrig to bury it with Anwyn the elf to make better use of it. So I do not need to carry it around?

Also thanks for running such a fun game, you are doing a fantastic job! You keep track of everything and make it easy for us to enjoy the game.

And, like the others, I'm looking forward to seeing your rules when you get them done.

Just for the record...

I had a quick trawl through some of my old backups, and the earliest scratchings in files that would eventually become my house rules appear to date from 2003. However, that loose collection of files didn't really take shape as a D&D variant until 2008.

In the last two years I have honed it down through many games and edits to what I have now. The funny thing is, it never really seems "finished". I guess that is what they mean by a "living game"

That's all part of the fun. In my view the players have no absolute need to know the game mechanics -- all they really need is to trust that the referee has it all in hand.

And greetings to you Sir, from Terror Australis

Krysin's Holy Symbol is approximately the size and weight of a dagger.

It is not encumbering to Padrig in the least, but it may be a fitting gesture to bury along with Anwyn -- perhaps offering the fallen Elf maiden some measure of protection on her journey into the after life.
