"Boris?" Ulric approaches their surviving mercenary and claps him on the shoulder and hands him Fix's coin purse. "You did well. Will you help me collect Fix's body from the field? We should bury him before those beasts find him. Victor, will you assist us?"

OOC: Ulric should have two arrows left. He collected four from the fallen brigand (post 201) and only got two shots off at the bears.

Wibert will talk with Desmond to find out who he is and keep an eye out behind him for trouble.

"Well met, Wibert. I came from a small farming community about a fortnight's walk thataway," he says, gesturing vaguely in the direction he came from.

"So you like my little whistle? It doesn't seem like much, but it has gotten me out of a few bad situations in the past. So where are the lot of you headed?" He pauses as he eyes the mule, then adds, "...nowhere fast, at that, huh?"

Boris accepts Fix's purse grimly, saying "I'll see 'is missus gets this", as he wipes grubby sweat from his bald head and walrus mustache.

Then the mercenary assists Victor to collect Fix's body and bring it back to the stricken cart.

By this time, Pelenwin's hurts have been cleaned and bound by Highbough, and his armour righted by Dieter (1d6=6) recovering 6 hit points.

I'm sure if you prove your worth you can join us, for it is safer if we travel together in this land. What do you say everyone!!!

"Gee thanks Olaf, you are a friend if ever I had one. Rest assured I will watch your back so none sticks you", smiles a red-cheeked halfling who talks serious but looks cute. ;D

Wibert will go help clean up the coin on the ground and see if he can fix the open chest to use again. Then go pick up some arrows from the dead bodies to add to his quiver.
