Wen not seeing anyone volunteer would speak. "Perhaps a little light will show us what we need to know." With a gesture his floating candles would gather in front of the other passage way. "If there are no objections we shall send the lights in, perhaps if a few of the Warriors would care to stand ready at the entrance to see what is revealed."
Wen would send the lights down the passage peering carefully from one side to see what is there.

Desmond/Mondes steps up next to Torben. Desmond has a look of determination in his eyes. Mondes glances over at Desmond and shakes his head while rolling his eyes.

'What are they doing in there, they must have waken the dead. Best be off to help' thinks Rufus.
Rufus will search for a way in, he will look for any hidden doors near the main gate avoiding traps, then will move up to the main gate and see if its open when Wen arrives.

Armando, crowbar at he ready, will attempt to sneak down any passageway that seems both profitable and amenable to sneaking.
(OOC: I second the request for a quick sketch of the environs.)

The Abbey
The forward group retreat to the gate lobby, allowing Meena to follow after the Prioress, while Torban opens the front door to admit Armando, Guntrum, Rufus and Wen with his magical host of four floating candle lights.
At this point the lobby is full to overflowing with eager adventurers!

The Orchard
(Olaf and Highbough)
Meanwhile, upslope in the apple orchard, Highbough and Olaf skit through the wiry trees down to the back wall of the abbey wherein the dark-hooded old Elf utters a pebble-flat incantation in a tongue most bleak which has his irises glowering as amber coals -- and Olaf's skin prickling with his proximity -- until a sorcerous stair of choking black gases emerges from the air and creeps awfully up the wall, ascending with each of the Elf's steps and the smoking step behind him vanish!
In less than a minute he attain the top of the wall, and leaps to the nearest rooftop in order to secure Olaf's rope to a hunched, 1ft tall gargoyle...

OOC: Looks like we got a little ahead. Plan stays the same send the candles down one corridor, the one Armando does not go down, to give fair warning to the front rank of Desmond/Mondes & Torben.
