"In! Quickly!" shouts Josiane to Percy.
To Mads and Dorgan; "Get some of those tables over here! We can use them to block the door!"
She stands ready to push the door closed as soon as Percy is inside the room, whereupon she will throw her (admittedly rather slight) weight against it to try and keep the dog from following.

Dorgan finds the door once again firm against him -- that sneaky Snork must have locked it behind him!

Meanwhile, Josiane urges Mads and Percy into the room.
Mads makes it in a hurry, but Percy is having trouble with the beastly guard dog snapping at his head and shoulders. He slaps at the monster with his crossbow, distracting it a moment, then turns to leap down the remaining stairs at a tumble to get through the door!
But the dog pounces right after him, snapping fiercely (2d20=7,10). Percy manages to elbow one of the dog's heads away with a twist, so that it merely tears a mouthful of his shirt from under his leather carapace, but the other latches onto him! (2dd=2,5) The dog clamps its jaws savagely onto Percy's leg, tearing 6 hit points out of him.
He cringes in pain as Mads helps to drag him through the door with his free arm, and Josiane slams the door in the dog's face. Or faces.
They hold there a moment, panting heavily while the dog growls and batters the other side of the door angrily. Clearly, it won't get through so long as Josiane leans on the door, but due to Dorgan forcing it recently with his shoulder, the door won't close properly...
What now?
(Percy has 2 of 8 hit points remaining)

Dorgan will run back toward the door, weaving his way through the tables and chairs within the room. He'll select the largest piece of furniture that's conveniently close to the door Josiane is holding fast, drop his weapons there, and attempt to push the piece over so that the party can use it to wedge the door shut.

As soon as the door is firmly wedged shut Josiane will turn her attention to Percy, tending his wounds as best she can.
"Perhaps more of that miraculous Dwarvish healing potion is called for..?" she thinks to herself...

Dorgan drives one of the gambling tables at the door. It's heavy, but he's strong. Josiane gets out of the way at the last moment, and then the door is wedged shut with a thud.
"That's that then," says Dorgan, pleased with his work. There's no chance the dog will be shifting that.

Now Mads brings the stammering torch light over so that Josiane can see to Percy's leg wound.
It is a series of puncture wounds about the side and back of his left thigh. Some of the punctures have also became gashes. There is quite a bit of bleeding still...
"Ah!" grimaces Percy as Josiane removes some of the torn fabric of his hose from the wound, "That stings a little,".

"Just let me rest a moment," says Percy, dragging himself awkwardly into one of the comfortable, leather chairs.
(Percy will recover 1d6 hit point with a turn (10 minute) of rest)

Dorgan will retrieve his weapons and sheathe them for the time being. He will then push another heavy piece of furniture in front of the door that the goblin escaped through.
Satisfied that the party is not immediately at risk of attack, he will spend the remaining time before Percy recovers searching the room. He will ignore the chairs for now and focus on the tables, moving to examine the floor and walls, if time allows.
As he searches, the dwarf will say to his companions, "If we fail to find the Gobbo quickly, we should think about leavin'. This waitin' will give 'em time to plot. Who knows what sorta surprise that filthy wretch has in store for us now?"

Josiane cleans and dresses
Percy's wound as well as she is able, noting to herself that the acquisition of some of the healing herbs she learned of in the convent and some clean linen for bandages should be a priority acquisition for her if The Lady wills she survives this adventure.
"Agreed, my friend, though I am loathe to leave with so many questions yet unanswered. I doubt we shall be able to gain access to this den of villainy so easily a second time."
Her rudimentary first aid attended to, she stands; "Besides, our only known exit at present is back past that hound. That is an ordeal I think none of us is in any hurry to repeat."
She draws her sword once more; "Come - once
Percy is rested let us press on a little further." She smiles at
Dorgan; "I put my trust in the Saint and in your strong axe!"
