I think that, considering the image we saw of Gustave, we need to figure out the Ring Room first.

I've just gotten here, so don't know alot about what you guys do. But it seems to me there isn't much else here to do, than the ring. I'm pretty curious what's over there, even if I lose me an elf ;)

The ring is my vote :)

I'm completely torn on this decision.

The best argument I can think of for further exploring the Abbey is that Nizzib the doppleganger might have some useful information about Gustave, the ring, and/or the were-nuns. We could possibly torture it out of him with the threat of bright light...

Also on my mind is waysoftheearth's admission that we have several times been this close to a major treasure haul...

But on the other hand:

In-character, Highbough would be completely fascinated by the magical teleportation ring of immense power. One might almost say 'tempted'...

Hoping it isn't a one-way venture, I'd hate for the party to come back and be ambushed by Nizzbit (and anything he might have found to help him).

Suppose the shadows can wait. Don't forget, they have an undisclosed amount of treasure there, as well, so that is certainly something to remember.

Don't know if Nizzbit has a lair or treasure of any kind.

Desmond searched the rooms along the western wall and sussed out the werewolf treasure and the faerie in the cage.

Has it been confirmed that at least one of us has searched every room in the complex, at this point?

Also, Alcazar may be our doom but I recall Ways saying that Alcazar was also the location of some potent magic items and weapons... If we plan on taking back Ket, could be a good place to visit first.

If Desmond's doppel was named 'Nizzbit' then there are at least two of them. (Either that, or the doppel's name changes based on who it is imitating?)

Highbough didn't go in the shadow pit, so as far as he knows, the shadows and the doppels are one and the same photophobic creature. Has anyone in the party encountered both that could disprove this?

Desmond never got a name from it. I'm assuming there is just the one; I take it I used the wrong name, then? Of course, there could be more than one...

Can't prove it, but shadows and dopples are very different things; no reason to assume they are the same creatures...

No, actually. There might be passages/rooms by the kitchen that have not been searched. So, rooms along the northern wall...

Sorry, should be "Nizzib".

This, this, and this.

I don't think there is any reason to bring all of the camp followers down into the ring room. The less they see of stuff like that and the Reliquary the better, IMO.

I say we put them to work with doing laundry and preparing dormitory rooms for sleep. Mush, do you still have that trammel spell for securing doors? If so, one end of the hallways has a door that could be secured that way. I don't recall if the other end does, as well, but there was a lot of rubble from the laser cyclops golem crushing the wall, so maybe Dorgan (with help from others) could fashion that into a wall to block off that end to secure it. Then anyone who is going to level can rest while all others stand guard.
