Dougal pauses, unable to fire at the centipedes while his companions fight them. He looks around, making sure there are no other targets. If he sees none, he puts away his sling and draws his sword and main gauche and prepares himself in case one of the others falls.

Simonetta sticks with seeking to stab or skewer centipedes on her sword.

Round 2
Bilfur and Dame Simonetta are both bitten! They feel the venom coursing through their veins, but luckily for both of them, they are able to fight off its paralytic effects. Although our heroes are not paralyzed, the centipedes have strong jaws, and the bite itself is very painful! Dame Simonetta has seen worse injuries, but Bilfur is badly wounded.
The party retaliates and makes short work of the remaining 3 centipedes. Kiplyn, Dame Simonetta, and Bilfur each get a kill. Bilfur's centipede makes a satisfying 'crunch' as he strikes the final blow. The faerie fire fades away as the centipedes expire.
The centipede battle is over! Nobody is paralyzed (thank goodness) but Dame S. is at 7/9hp and Bilfur is at 1/3.
Large centipede attacks:
vs Wilbur d20=1 miss
vs Dame Simonetta 20! hit for 2hp dropping her to 7/9, save vs. paralysis at +4: 14, success
vs Bilfur 16 hit for 2hp dropping him to 1/3, save vs. paralysis at +4: 20, success
Party attacks (+2 faerie fire bonus):
Kiplyn: 8 miss, 16 hit for 3hp (kill)
Dame S: 7 miss, 22 hit for 4hp (kill)
Bilfur: 17 hit for 4hp (kill)

Kiplyn looks at Bilfur with concern. "You look a little pale, I think we better have a snack and rest here". He would then quietly sneak towards the opening to north and take look and listen as a precaution.

OOC: We have a new player!
@scottenkainen's new character is sniffing around the House of Pancakes. In case that affects you guys' decision what to do next.
In any case, Kiplyn's suggestion of a rest turn, is a smart idea. Bilfur and Dame Simonetta can each heal a hit point.
@dtspurrier, that is one of our house rules, to compensate for the lack of clerics in this setting: Hobbets can spend 1 rest turn eating 1 day's rations, to regain 1 lost hit point.
@mgtremaine I will have a map update for you in the morning, exploring the area to the north.

Dame Simonetta will also take a moment to rest and recover. As she chews on a strip of jerky, she wonders what jerked centipede might be like.

OOC: Perhaps also a good time to remind @dtspurrier that Bilfur has some healing "goodberries" in his inventory.

Willie is unwounded, and worried about their relatively exposed status. He suggests somebody keep an eye southward -- he pulls out his sling and raises his lantern high and takes a few steps to the north to see if there's anything interested to be seen.

Turn 24 -- Rest Turn
(Turn 23 was the centipede fight. The Adventure is at the 4 hour mark. Willie changes the oil in his lantern.)
Dame Simonetta eats the rest of her jerky and feels much better (8/9hp). The party will be all out of jerky for the rest of the Adventure! As
Dame S. sits and rests, she senses that the
Owl Medallion of Athena around her neck is making a faint humming sound that only she can hear. A phantom sound, like ears ringing after loud music. Or maybe not even a sound at all, more of a 'sixth sense.'
Bilfur has a snack and feels better (2/3hp).
What does he eat?
Willie and Kiplyn scout to the north. The cavern (Area 32) is devoid of treasure. There are tunnels branching NW and N in a Y formation.
Maps thread updated.
Any additional actions for the Rest Turn?
