It's almost worth updating your signature from Armand to Angry Dieter (MV 12", HD F2, AC 3, strength 17!)

Good idea. How long does it take to cast a scroll healing spell? I thought it was a turn like a memorized spell so I will heal after the battle or does it take a round ? If a round I will do it.

Heartless; a round is anything from 10 seconds to a minute, depending on the pace of the action. A turn is 10 rounds.

The ritual casting of The Supplication of Medicant Requite normally requires a turn (10 rounds) regardless of whether it is cast from a scroll or from memory. However, this assumes a leisurely pace with plenty of mumbo jumbo designed primarily to impress the lay flock. However, if Padrig's need is urgent he might skip the niceties and perform the spell more swiftly (in perhaps just a few rounds -- I will roll for it if/when it occurs).

Thanks for heads up waysoftheearth,

Can I find out how long it takes to cast my other templar spells, it is 1 round or more?

Getting the required scroll (or book) out of storage, finding the right part of the text, preparing any other paraphernalia required, and preparing oneself mentally to read a spell will usually take a round in and of itself.

Assuming all that has occurred, the actual reading of most spells requires but a single round.

The longer casting time of the supplication of medicant requite was intended to prevent it from being used in combat. However, having both the recipient and the provider out of combat is enough to satisfy that, so I'm content to call it one round to get out the desired scroll and prepare for the ritual, and another round to read the spell carry out the ceremony. I.e., two rounds total.
